  1. Found it! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=925433#post925433
  2. He said one plug I meant the other. Ops.
  3. Lip spoiler is good. The guys on the US forum use it, otherwise, bumper extension. ;) One I looked at ages ago was this. It's an Aeromaster bumper extension. There was someone on here selling it and I was at one point interested. I'll do a bit of digging around when I'm back from the gym to see if the owner is still on here. He may still have it. There's nothing readily available over here really other that Stillen type stuff that looks good and is well priced.
  4. He's questioning, not stating. ;)
  5. These are the ones that we're discussing and the ones you should be using. No one is saying the others can't be bought here though. Just the 11Bs.
  6. I think the market isn't going much further south for them. Good TT manuals still fetch good prices (£3.5 - £5.5K), although the average price for average examples have fallen through the floor which make up the proportion of Z32s in the UK. Very very few are being imported anymore and a lot are being broken for spares. There are still a huge amount of tatty/poorly modified Z32s about that the good ones will still be a good catch and will hold their money.
  7. I'm going gloss black to match the door pillars and reflectiveness of the glass. But looks good none-the-less. :duffer:
  8. That plug is not distributed by NGK in the UK, so would be import only. You'd be hard pressed to find an Autofactor that would be able to source them.
  9. I have no idea what mine is worth but I know what figure I'd go down to. I don't intend on selling though, unless times got really bad. I still have the wild idea of getting an NSX, but I'd still keep the Z. For what little it's worth, I really can't be bothered to sell. Quite happy to hang on to it. Haynes Motor Museum have said they'd put it on display if ever I wanted to take it there which is what I'd rather do than let it go for what they are going for now.
  10. Black roof bars! Something I am planning on doing at some point soon. Think I'd have left the spoiler on there. But looks good. JDM model I guess with a UK rear bumper.
  11. Get a data sheet from the manufacturer. Most are known about. WIX, K&N and Mobil1 all use anti-drain valves. Nissan don't anymore, nor do FRAM, Coopers and a lot of the cheaper brands.
  12. 2 or 3 Zs with that kinda power. lol
  13. That is very nice and great to see a big bhp Skyline without being covered in stickers and ugly bodykits.
  14. Interesting. Thanks Phill. Seem to have some conflicting reports now. I'd like to get all four speakers sounding better. But I guess since no one ever sits in the back, it's probably not worth it.
  15. I've had that whilst letting someone cross the road. "Oh, is that a Zonda?" I heard them mutter. I've never had the knightrider thing because my car is not black and is far from it! LOL. The only other car that someone's thought it might be, was a Lamborghini. Most people don't really know what it is, which is nice. Good ones without half a boat grafted on to them still look like expensive and classy cars to me.
  16. I shall. Can anyone confirm whether this is 55u or 55y? OE part number 15206 j1700 Topless??
  17. Is that where I'd need a cross-over? My current headunit has its own bass/sub output.
  18. Thanks for that. Sorry it took me 6 months to say that! It reminded me of something. Just found a chap selling old/obselite Nissan dealer stock and hoping that he may have a couple of new 55U laying about. :)
  19. Ok, well, I'll tell you what I did with the speakers. For the rears, I used the two Bose boxes and gutted them (I didn't have 6x4s in mine), just the 17cm rears. After gutting the boxes, I lined with with sound deadening material. Re-sealed the boxes, added sound deadening between mating surfaces and screwed speaker to box. Used sound deadening around the mount points and screwed that back to he car. I ran new cables from there to the front. For the fronts, for some unbeknown reason, my Z came with one Bose box on the drivers' side and the metal frame for aftermarket speakers on the left. I went out and sourced another metal frame for the drivers' side, covered both in sound deadening and boltng back to the car. Ran new cables here also. I am thinking about ripping all the fronts out though and fitting gutted Bose speaker boxes. Sound from the rear speakers is slightly better quality.
  20. So the small adaptor is not welded onto that mid-section then? I'd get a replacement mid-section if that's so badly damaged, the adaptor is missing. All you need to do then is plug that hole and the other and completely remove your AIV system. Where's the pipework that should go to that? I guess it's still plumbed into the other one? Holes in exhausts past turbos, won't effect cars all that much, it's NA cars where that comes into play. A hole that big would cause so much back pressure to be lost that it wouldn't run too well. You may have issues with turbo spool and stalling? No entirely sure how it effects back pressure and scavenging properties on turbo cars. You'd be creating a lot of turbulence there and may result in backfiring any unburnt fuel in the exhaust system which could in-turn destroy your cats (if you still have them). The hole is after the oxygene sensors, so wouldn't effect running in that way.
  21. The sound isn't bad. Quality is reasonably, I just have little mid-range and bass definition. I have a top of the range Alpine headunit. If can't get decent sound from that, then I'll not bother with the ICE at all.
  22. You'd get poor airflow through the exhaust. The parts arrowed are the connectors for the AIV valves. Where exactly is it leaking from? Have you deleted the AIV system?
  23. The reason I want to run an amp to the speakers is because they only sound marginally better than the stock stuff I pulled out. I now have increased volume and no crackle, but they lack definition. If by doing what I have done, the system sounded like the one in my Leon, I'd be happy, but alas, it doesn't. Lacks bass and mid-range.
  24. Well, I am going to doing a few ICE upgrades soon (I don't know much about ICE). I have already fitted Alpine direct replacement speakers all round and soundproofed the doors and rear quarters. I have run new cables to all speakers. I have a Pioneer 10" sub and Pioneer 2 channel amp to power it (which need to be installed). My headunit is an Alpine IVA-W200Ri. What I need now is something to power the speakers. Something small (dimensionally) that I can instal behind the dashboard (out of sight). I have found (what I think) is a decent amp (for my requirements) in a sale and it's Alpine. http://www.audio66.com/product.asp?id=5555&cat=6&man=1&main=1&userid=&firstsel=cat&variation=&gclid=CIfH4fr46JUCFSAtEAodtVCifQ I am hoping this would be sufficient to power 4 Alpine speakers to a reasonable volume with decent clarity. Would be quite interested to know what others thought of that. As some may know, I don't want a 'mega' instal. Just a good quality sounding system and I'm hoping I'll get that with what I have and am going for.
  25. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Soft is better than ugly/cheap looking. Getting rid of that mesh and getting some of the IC ducts inplace of the foglights would make it look a bit more slick, so too would be fitting non-chromed headlights (originals) If you really want to change, then at least get something nice like the Escort Racing front bumper. Or this one. It's an 'Explosion' or 'Evolution' kit iirc.
