  1. FINALLY, someone's come up with a decent use for an old Metro City E! lol
  2. I'd wrap some rag around it first! I did have the Rays tool but sold it with my old wheels.
  3. Looks really tidy, but what's all that stuff over the rear tyres?
  4. LOL, the auto doesn't even have a flywheel, just a flexi-plate.
  5. I've fitted new speakers all round, so will leave the rears in. Might get some decent Alpine fronts with crossovers. I have got a custom contoured sub from Speedfreak to fit the sub and amp into. :) Thanks mate, yeah, I'm up for that. Maybe sometime next week.
  6. Those will be much less than 22. If they were 8.5"fr, I'd say they were probably something like 15-18. Personally, I think they are 9" and 10" wide respectively.
  7. Can I mount the cross-overs in the door frame. I find the things ugly and want them hidden away.
  8. Allan, one question, will I need an amp for these? My head unit delivers 4 x 50, so if I select a component set with an RMS around 45 - 50 watts, should this be ok?
  9. I'll have to pop up and see you one evening I think mate.
  10. Erm, kinda. I really do know very little in terms of sound engineering.
  11. Yeah I still have it. I figured it would be too much work to modify to fit. I now need a 12" sub as the 10" one is too small. I also prefer the flush fit tweeters ones over those and would take a compromise too. So, you can fit tweeters to existing speakers? I am a completely audio noob and I don't know how tweeters work. How do they take trebble away from the main cone?
  12. I fitted Alpine speakers in my doors when all the interior came out, but never felt there was enough definition there. I have just bought a custom sub box for a 12" sub to go in the rear, I've replaced the rear speakers with Alpine speakers also. But, do I got for component speakers in the front? The Alpine speakers I am currently looking at appear to be the same as the ones I already have fitted, but obviously with the tweeter which I don't have. So, is it worth replacing these? Or will I not notice much of a difference?
  13. Quick! Everyone get their cars off the road PRONTO! :wack:
  14. Blimey. Never heard of those before, so googled it. Kind reminds me of a Lancia Beta and a Lancia Stratos. What was the running gear? Usual common Pinto running gear or something a bit nicer like a Rover V8?
  15. That's Cheema's old car. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=hall&u=10337 Looked tidy, but one the worst bodykits available known to man.
  16. It hates you too Murt.
  17. That's odd. Not often you hear of problems with Cavaliers. Pretty robust cars. I've had two of them and they were reliable as anything.
  18. No thanks. Despite its performance, I can't stand its geriatric looks. For the performance it's pretty reasonable price though.
  19. I don't mind those. They are filled nicely with huge wheels.
  20. Seen it before. Under all the bolt-on crap like the nasty headlight masks, caravan rear lights and mechano rear spoiler, there's a decent car there. Find a nice front bumper too and you've got yourself something cool. Bonnet pins make me feel sick a little.
  21. I think it might need more than a t-cut.....maybe a light skim of filler.....
  22. Correct, add a bit more time and Fiats end up looking like this. lol
  23. You mean a brake light? ;)
