  1. I know. I have a nice yellow 350 to borrow too. :)
  2. Yeah. I know quite a few of them out there. Been to about 4 meets as well as a large Zfest in the midwest. Off to Znationals in Atlanta this September.
  3. Finally, this wasn't shot by me. Guy had a little camera stuck to the front of his Z.
  4. I have LED side lights that match the colour of my 6,000k HIDs. :)
  5. Just been rifling though some old movies I had and found this. Just a little film I made in the Canyons in northern LA county (California). This is my friend Armen's car (some might remember him as he came to the South Central RR last year). This is us having some fun in his 2+2NA. You can't the same feel as if you were there, the roads were twice as epic as they seem here and the speed twice as fast. Good fun it was!
  6. He knows I hate it. ;)
  7. Absolutely horrific. But if you like it and like being laughed at, then good on ya. :duffer:
  8. Never been fussed by Imprezas. Sure I can appreciated a nice sorted P1, but that's about it. I'm not really into these small cheap looking sports saloons, like the Evo and Impreza. They just don't get me shaking at the knees. You've just had yours all repainted too haven't you?
  9. All autos, hence prices. 1st: Looks good (forum member's), but way out of your small little price range. 2nd: Looks awful with that shitty front bumper. Poor photos for something that's supposed to have had 'serious money spent on it'. 3rd: Tatty 4th: Tatty 5th: Looks pretty good for the price. But appears to be missing all of the front splash trays.
  10. Just get in touch with him. He should be able to sort you out. :)
  11. Jimmer? LOL
  12. I'd always go the TT route. The money you spend getting an NA to TT performance and beyond could go toward making a MUCH quicker TT. Unless you go down the V8 route!
  13. Nup, car's been great. LOL @ 'cosmetic'. It's Cometic. No, don't have one of these. Stock HG are good enough. Until you start going serious power. I don't ever intend to run anymore than 14psi, so just wanted a really good stock engine.
  14. Yeah Jimmer rebuilt my engine about 3 years ago. It came over from Japan minus its boost controller. The person who removed it in Japan, didn't reconnect the wastegate solenoids and therefore, I was running unlimited boost. Didn't know any more until the dipstick kept blowing out of the tube and sprayed oil everywhere. Compression check was done and I was down on 2 cylinders, so had the engine taken out and rebuilt.2 x melted pistons giving blow back. The car hasn't put a foot wrong since.
  15. You really need to speak to Jimmer about that. But if he knows your bottom end is shagged, then I'd imagine. He may have included a re-grind. Not for me to say.
  16. Agreed, the car has been driven around for a few months with a knocking bottom end, so no doubt there will be heavy scoring to the crank journals. Certainly a replacment crank will be needed or a regrind on your current one.
  17. Probably yes. They are inexpensive anyway and easier to do with the engine out. TBH, I'd get your turbos checked. They have done 140k and if the engine is coming out, it's not always a good idea to keep using them.. Stock turbos with 360 degree bearings would be the choice then.
  18. Even without upgrading the turbos or pistons it will have a power gain over stock. You'll have good compression as you'll have new piston rings and relapped valves, so your turbos will be more responsive. Combustion will also be more efficient over an older worn engine that is holding less compression than when new. You can expect gains from bigger or new turbos. TBH there is a huge amount of labour and parts costs involved in rebuilding an engine. Genuine headset alone is something like 300 quid. A typical rebuild will consist of the following. * Engine removal and refit. * Heads refurbished ( cleaned, refaced and valves relapped). * Block refurbished would include bore inspection, re-hone or rebore dependant upon condition and/or choice, new pistons, new rings, new shells (after crank inspection) Could entail a new or repolished crank. *Sundries would be things like service kits, gaskets, water pump etc. * Labour for EVERYTHING. * Then there's turbos should you want them. These range hugely in price. Jimmer warranties his work.
  19. Can't go wrong with forged pistons. Safer than stock ones if you want to run bigger turbos or higher than 'safe' levels of boost on a stock engine. But a bonus anyway. They aren't hugely expensive. Ztech are Swindon way. Very poor reputation despite new management.
  20. That's about a grand cheaper than Ztech. You wouldn't want to take your car there! LOL
  21. Matey I'm fine.
  22. Exactly. Therefore it's a little unfair to call Jimmer 'pricey' when you're not comparing like for like. Jimmer is one of the most competitive people on here if not theeeeee most for the work he does especially considering the quality. :)
