  1. T'was the only thing I didn't like about Steve's old Car. Maybe Andy's gonna put it right. :)
  2. I guess you don't have a spare din slot. You could rip all that off and have a nice neat fitting set of DIN gauges.
  3. That's neat! I swear Mondeo bumpers from that era were made from recycled Easter eggs. It's usually the back bumpers that are cracked and hanging off though!
  4. ....and get a nice front bumper too. :)
  5. Great turn out and love the 300zxy's Z. Looks fantastic. How many lights on this??
  6. You need to fit much more than just 5mm spacers on the front. Get some 20mm and fill those arches!
  7. I did all this. Does make a difference.
  8. They are nice, but these ones are nicer. Your rears need to carry a wide width/deep dish to really pull that bodykit off to its fullest potential.
  9. Cool. Nice one Mike. Plans sound good too apart from the bovs
  10. Revolting cars. Might be easier to shift, but that depends what yours is like, but I wouldn't be seen dead in a TR8! LOL Not as bad as the Scimitar Sabre, but not far off.
  11. Because you can spec wheel widths with BBS or they could be rebanded. Very nice wheel. Much nicer than the ones you have with a better fitment.
  12. Actually, if you change the angle of your FMIC, they look really good sat behind a 99-spec fascia. Not the most elegant of FMICs, but you get the idea. Trying to find one with a flush fitting FMIC.
  13. Change to large SMIC. :) ;)
  14. Welcome. Not at fan of that bodykit at all, but it looks clean in the photo and nice wheels!
  15. Could be. Just remove, clean it with carb cleaner, re-oil, actuate, oil again and refit. Setting base idle, some pics here too which might help... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=779520&postcount=1
  16. Like so. Will match your skirts better. What would look even nicer is if you got the little hole smoothed in on your current skirts. Would give a much cleaner more slick look.
  17. Edit! Wrong ****ing thread! Doh!
  18. Get the stock TT fascia and fit the Stillen type 3 extension. You can get the Stillen Extension from Z1. Wings west and Stillen GTZ-R fascias are not particularly attractive. 99-spec can be sourced through either MJP or Zcentre.
  19. Set the base idle, then set the TPS.
  20. Get at it with an oil and filter change.
  21. TPS. Probably reading out of range then. On cold, it uses base idle map. You might even have an error code stored. Revs will be higher when cold...its part of the "on choke" cold start running mode. Have you checked your base idle?
  22. You really need to check the voltage to be able to know how to set the TPS. Easiest way it through ConZult. But you can via multimeter. I think you take the signal from the middle wire and set the other probe to battery terminal. You should get a reading of about 0.44v. If it's out, you need to adjust until you get the correct output of around 0.44-0.48v. To adjust it, there are two small screws on the side, loosen those and turn it until you get the desired reading. If this has no effect on the voltage reading then you either have a duff sensor or cack wiring. I had to replace my TPS.
  23. Not for me sorry, without doubt, the ugliest bumper ever conceived....now adorning what was a beautiful car. Each to their own. If you're happy with that then cool. :duffer: Hats off to the guy that fitted it. Horrendous fit made good.
