  1. ....and get a custom fit rear plate fitted too without the GB logo! ;) A slight font size change and a custom size and you could get it all one line like mine. :) Will cost you about 15 quid from fancyplates and makes the back end look neater. :)
  2. Like the plans. Those skirts have always looked overly fussy to me and the WW rear just doesn't look right with the winglet things on it. Needs to be Kaminari or stock to look its best. If you went for a kaminari rear then you'd need kaminari skirts and a Stillen GT-Z extension...which is something that would look nice and very subtle on a black Z. Other than that, the 99 front end sounds good, although I do really like the early TT bumpers. With a lip, it would look great. But you'd need skirts then. car.mad does a nice bumper extension for the rear if you wanted to go down that route, otherwise, get rid of the stonechip if you're going to go with the 99 front end. :) 99 or stock TT spoiler....or if you can find one, an M30Z rear spoiler, but these are practically non existant. Did you ever sort out the camber on your front wheels?
  3. Autos are plentiful and considerably cheaper to purchase (like for like car)...BUT, the are troublesome. You could always start with an auto if you see a good one, but can get a manual conversion done at a later date. All depends on your current budget I guess. I'd go for a manual all day long though.

Have a meet in Cheddar or something. Even Glastonbury maybe? There's a couple of nice pubs on the way to Wells too from Glastonbury.
  5. I've seen someone do it! LOL. Covered their disks in copper slip! Then wondered why his brakes were less than useless!
  6. Could ask the same question of you huh...not talking about the grammar here.
  7. Try typing 'Door Card removal' into the search function.....
  8. That's awful! One ruined CRX. :hurl:
  9. Whoever suggested putting any sort of lubricant on the disks wants to be shot! Whilst new disks come pre-soaked in lube, this should be cleaned off thoroughly before fitting them. Pads will absorb the lubricant and will wreck them causing brake deficiency. Do NOT put lube on the disk surfaces if the disks are staying on the car. Any sort of primer or thin varnish that can easily be burnt off is fine.
  10. Be very wary of your turbo oil seals if you decat.
  11. Ring round some of the local farms. Murt rents a barn out with some friends. It's got a concrete floor in it and you can get 3 or 4 cars in it I think.
  12. It's easier and cheaper to fit a new loom than it is to have to refit or replace the turbos if things aren't refitted correctly. I'd rather have a loom that needed replacing thanks!
  13. Yup, I'd rather the engine were taken out for tub replacement too.
  14. ....also, if the heads are coming off, so much has to be removed that's it's advisable to to a full rebuild with new end shells and a piston inspection. Not worth doing ALL of that work to find out the block has worn pistons. If you're gonna do the job, do it properly!
  15. Did either of those engines survive......? You don't have the best track record. If you want to do the job properly and to a good standard, it's best doing with the engine out. Less chance of muck ups.
  16. This forum has no garage services in the traders section. That's all word of mouth. Jimmer or Zedworld are two forum members. Zedworld does have a traders section for spares. Good reputation. Jimmer has done many many engine rebuilds (both stock and spec'd rebuilds) with not a single unhappy customer.
  17. Which is a 4hour drive away! How can you say that's closer than Jeff?
  18. Yup, one of mine too. I'd have left out the carbon fibre though, but that's pretty much spot on. No multi coloured or garish hoses, just nice and easy on the eye. Minimising the colours IMO is the best way to make a slick looking car.
  19. ....oh, and it's engine out for the HG.
  20. Jimmer is on your doorstep!
  21. The general public are stupid, but the emergency services should really have closed access to the road! Shocking videos!
  22. I really need to do something with my engine bay! LOL
