  1. Trench coat! You can hide in it too! ;)
  2. 7.5j all round? No thanks. Not sure anyone would want those for their Z if they knew what was good for them. LOL with that offset too, you're no better off with stock JDMs.
  3. Ok, I'll see if I can ask a few questions with my colleagues as I am doing a show with them in London on Thursday.
  4. Yeah it would. I've done quite a bit of market research over on 3ZC. It could be supplied in kit form with instructions rather than what clear corners do. Well, the price I got was to do that per set of 4. Not sure on volume amounts though. I need to ask a few other customers of mine to see if they'd take it on. It's a shame I don't have any contacts in China, although I probably could get something set up out there provided I had the design.
  5. Oh of course. Be nice to know. I'd say there would be a huge market, but the main market would be the US....and the US has a slightly different centre consol. I'm constantly getting asked about mine on 3ZC and youtube.
  6. Tooling will be in the 10s of thousands if you're going to have it injection moulded. Compression moulding would be cheaper, but still costly.
  7. To produce them, you'd need to make a tool for them. The centre consols are injection moulded. Now, you could make them out of fibreglass, but I think that the vents (strip at the top) and clip areas would be far too difficult to make out of GRP. To manufacture a tool for injection moulding purposes, would cost you about the same as the budget for your engine!
  8. Yeah, it's about 1k all in. That's the board design, the cutting, the SMD LEDs...which are peanuts. Time on the pick and place machine + setting. Then there's manufacturing the wiring harness on top, but that shouldn't be that expensive. It's the PCBs and their appearance and operations which is paramount and needs to look professional.
  9. Pants! Just need to get some PCBs with SMD LEDs in them! I've approached a few companies about it and the cost is prohibitive...well...if you wanted to pay Clearcorners' prices they wouldn't be.
  10. Wanted something practical though Tony. I did look at the Scirocco and also the Mercedes CLC.

    Murt?
  12. Only the titanium X ones look any good. Ford did a poor job of designing the wheels for the Mondeo. Other than the Titanium x, the rest look dowdy as hell, rubbish trim, ugly wheels. Hideously overpriced now as well.
  13. Soooo played out. Bit like how those Audi running lights have become.
  14. Cheers. :) It's such a nice drive for what it is. Better than my old Leon and infinately better than the Mondeo I had before that. Only seen a few R-line models about and none in biscay blue. Most I've seen are silver and grey. I filled up in Portsmouth before taking the ferry to France at the weekend and the guy in the petrol station commented on how nice it looked. Not bad considering it's just a Passat. :)
  15. Looking forward to driving mine again! Probably get it taxed at the end of next month.
  16. Photos don't capture it very well. It's actually very nice. I was worried about it being bland from the photos, but it's really well laid out and very well built. There are a number of different finishes inside and without the glare, look good. Best stereo of any car I've had!
  17. I dunno, not driven the Z since September! The Z still feels pretty tight and positive though. I drive the Z in a completely different frame of mine though. So any datedness doesn't really fuss me all that much. I wouldn't want it as a daily hack. It's so nice to jump back in it after the winter and use it when the weather is nice. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
