Yeah, research most of my posts on DVs. Pros of DVs....silly noise...if you like that kinda thing. Cons : Causes rich running and hesitation. Conclusion: no car manufacturers have ever fitted dump valves to their own production vehicles and I've NEVER read of turbo damage caused by any type of compressor stall. The recirc valve should take care of this up to a certain point. Once you're past about 500bhp and running aftermarket engine management, then they have some sort of benefit. Fit them to a car with OEM management and you're basically messing up the fueling. Complete performance-hindering junk on most Z32s.

I think this is a case of : 'if you have a photo licence' then you will be fined if it expires after 10 years...? The DVLA will know whether you carry the new photo licence and subsequently the police will too. If a car is registered to someone with a photo licence, it'll simply give the ANPR reader an earlier driving licence expiration date.

Cause I haven't gotten round to it yet. The stock ones work well enough if they are a good set. I'll be buying some DV30s toward the end of the year.

Cobblers it'll damage the turbos. Not a single car manufacturer fits atmospheric dump valves to its cars. You never read of damaged turbos due to pressure issues either. More people complain about poor running after fitting these things than anything else. DVs are dumping metered air in an operation for them to make their silly noise and will cause rich running, hesitation and a delay in boost pressure...not always noticeable, but because the ECU is working on the premise that any unused air is recirculated via the recirc valves, the above can always be expected when running stock management.
