  1. Wrong way. Add 15mm will reduce your offset to a +20. I've used my car as example as I spent a long time trying to get the stance to sit right; next to mine is an example of poor wheel fitment. See how far inboard the front wheel is.
  2. Are your rear arches rolled? I've managed to squeeze a +25 on the rear of mine (9.5" wide), so your rears sound like they are probably at their maximum based on those widths. Do you have a photo? As for your fronts, 10mm spacers would work wonders, but a +30 isn't too bad on that spec. 10mm would make it completely flush with the wing though and would give a much nicer stance. Yeah they'd fit no problem, but the front offset is a little weak. To make the most of the fronts, you really need 15mm hubcentric bolt-on spacers. MWTech on 350z-UK forum can get you these as they aren't manufactured by any of the mainstream manufacturers. It would make a massive difference to the overall stance too. Nothing worse than wheels that sit far inside the arch.
  3. Is your car a UK car or JDM? Stock depends on where it was originally sold as European rears were wider. In terms of aftermarker, it really depends what widths you go for Typically, most people run 18 x 8.5 at the front and 18 x 9.5 at the rear. You can push a + 20 on the front woth those widths to give you a nice flush look and a +35 at the rear.
  4. Vaguest question ever. Are you talking about standard wheels? Aftermarket maximums?
  5. Well hopefully they'll all be in Munich now for the start of Oktoberfest!
  6. Thanks guys. Well I'm off this Saturday, should be fun! Flights and accommodation sorted. I've managed to get a place pretty central which is cool. The only thing I think we won't do will be the visit to the Sistine Chapel; apparently you have to queue for hours to get into the Vatican Museum which you HAVE to enter through first before you even get to the Sistine Chapel. When you've only got 3 days, it's safe to say, we'll leave that for another day! St Peter's square and St. Peter's Basilica however we will do (the Pope will be giving the Angelus at noon on the Sunday) as well as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps as she's a big Audrey Hepburn fan and a famous scene was filmed there in 'Holiday in Rome'. Will also do the Colosseum and the Forum and if we have time maybe the Pantheon.
  7. I have no idea how you did that! You must have been doing 56 all the way! lol On my recent trip to southern France in my Z I did the following. I've only just calculated it as I just don't really care that much about MPG, but it's pretty interesting to note. Portsmouth to Portishead @ 135 St Malo to Puylaroque @ 480 miles + 50 miles of driving the local lanes Puylaroque - Ouistreham (port of Caen) via Poitiers @ 450 Portsmouth to Portishead @ 135 Total 1250 Assuming the fuel tank of a 2+2 is 70 litres which is 15 gallons, that's roughly 56.25 gallons of fuel used...I averaged just over 22mpg! LOL. I did have brief spats of fast driving and hard acceleration and didn't hold back at all and always used super unleaded. However I did cruise at about 80 for most of the route down through the west coast. On my way back I drove through the vast expanse of the 'Massif Central' which is pretty up and down as it's plateau and mountain, so often you're driving in boost. I do however think it's high time I got TurboNoz to map it. Car.Mad reckons his MPG rose substantially. I am running a pretty generic John Dixon chip. I am not too fussed, but increased power with decreased fuel consumption? I'll have some of that!
  8. Just pull the fuel pump relay. Takes all of 5 seconds. Means you don't have to hack up the loom and it's what EVERYONE does.
  9. Not my thing at all. But the paint looks pretty good and glad you've finally got it 'nearly' finished, been long enough! lol
  10. Maybe, but chromed plastic doesn't feel like metal, it feels like painted plastic. The joy of the metal ones are that they feel solid....like metal strangely. :)
  11. ....last trip was to California, Georgia and the Midwest. I'm off over there again for Christmas. Going to Georgia for a few days + I wanna hang out with the Z1 guys again, might drive down to Florida for a few days, flight out to Arizona to see a few Z guys there and then drive over to San Diego for New Years.
  12. I don't even collect them. I travel on so many different carriers that are associated with various numbers of different alliances that it just isn't worth it. Flights are a fortune. I spent £2,500 on flights alone on my last trip! 8 flights in 3 weeks! Kinda killed me! haha
  13. Not really. I have plenty of cars to drive out there. I have a silver 2+2 that I borrow that is currently out in Springdale, Arkansas. Too far to drive that really. I have a very good friend in SD who lets me drive his stunning 240z around. I have been toying with the idea of buying a SWB TT to have out there as I have places to store it in Arizona and Missouri. 5th - 9th of August Bri. As with all the events I go to there. They're such an awesome bunch and they go the extra mile. Mad Mike will likely be there which will be good. I hope to do Branson and ZCon this year. Rob, if you need a lift, I don't mind coming out to El Centro. It's only a few hours out of SD.
  14. As some of you guys know, I am heavily involved in the Z scene in the US; I go to a number of the shows there each year and I am a moderator on the US forum. Make no mistake, the scene is BIG, it can bit glitsy! I don't think many, if any of your have ever done any of the shows there, but if ever you get the chance, just do it. They're a LOT of fun. The people are super friendly, many of which I now consider family and the cars are first rate. I've been to ZNationals, MidwestZfest, BransonZfest (which is where my commitments lie) and an assortment of regional meets and shows from Arizona to California, the Midwest and East coast. Next year, I've committed myself to ZCon which, joy of all joys, is being held in San Diego. I go to San Diego a couple of times each year as I have friends there and when the announcement was made that it was going to be held there for 2014, I leapt for joy! A bit of background to the show. It's probably the biggest show on the US Z calendar and is sponsored by Nissan USA and all manor of other high profile vendors like. This year it was in New Hampshire and the year before in Phoenix which was the one I was originally going to go to. All the big names go there like Z1, CZP etc Up until a few years ago, Mr.K (father of the Z car) used to attend these, but he's become too old to travel now as he's well over 100. I think he does a live video link to the event these days. Here's a lot of photos of the 2012 event in Arizona. 100s of Z cars drive from all over the US. I expect next year's show in California is going to be HUGE as there is a huge ownership populous along the west coast. http://www.jamesonapodacaphotography.com/zcon.html The host hotel is here too, the Kona Key resort which is where all the parties and car show will be! Looks really nice doesn't it! Z cars will be at both big parking areas with food and music and all sorts going on. I am so excited that ZCon is being hosted in my favourite city. Not entirely sure which track they'll be using for the drag and track events, but I expect there will be some epic drives through the canyons arranged.
  15. Got a credit card? It is a bummer, but not the end of the world. £120 is only just over a tank of fuel for the Z32! :)
  16. Just pay it and claim it back like they said? Pegasus are some sort of low cost charter airline. If you get charged any extra than that dictated in your ticket/holiday, then your UK tour operator are required to refund you.
  17. Sticker bombing; the worst idea for car modifications evAr....apart from neon washer jets, seat belt harness pads on standard seat belts, Veilside bumpers, round rear lights on Z32s, carbon/alloy spoilers on anything, vented bonnets and anything manufactured by Foliatec.
  18. Old news. In fact they were standard on the Exec. models from about 98 to 01. :) Brand new, from memory, they are between £35 and £40 ea and I also think or or other side is now an NLS part.
  19. They kum & Go mate. I haven't seen any online for ages. Did you go via the 'find a part' thing?
  20. Haha! I paid £5 for mine I think. Then the whole world found out! I should have stock piled them because I still get emails from the US to Australia wanting them! Goddammit!
  21. A fad started by me quite some years ago now! Glad they're proving much happiness still!
  22. I tried in vain to repair my old speedo. I never could despite resolding all the joints. I gave up and bought a replacement. Personally, I'd ditch the turbo timer. Waste of time imo if you drive the car correctly. Simplify all the wiring. Try a JDM speedo from somewhere just to see whether it is that.
