  1. Hope they find the *******s and your car!
  2. Yup, this week coming! :)
  3. Probably in a container on its way to Russia now. Looking at it, I can't see that it has expensive or sought after parts on it, so I doubt it was stolen to part out unless it has some very expensive mechanical upgrades (with stock brakes). Needless to say, I hope they find it, I'd be distraught if my Z went missing. I think it's either been stolen to joy ride or stolen ship overseas.
  4. Yeah, good luck with that one! If you see any SWB in blue, NA or otherwise that you could buy as a parts car, then do it. SWB blue glass is rare as anything over here! You could get good used stuff from Z1 no doubt, but the chances of that rear screen making it across to the UK...hmmm! lol Bear in mind those are prices for blue glass. I am not too sure what bronze is as it's only recently become available here. But do not under any circumstance go to Autoglass as you'll be paying 5x that (Autoglass repair...Autoglass rip off). National Windscreens are without doubt your best bet. They should be able to obtain bronze glass.
  5. Depending on whether your car is blue or not will depend on whether the screen will be blue or bronze. Blue was fitted to ALL UK models, all JDM cars in sapphire blue and all 94+ cars. Blue is in stock in the UK and is between £160 and £180 fitted from National Windscreens. Bronze tint has a lead time on it I believe and pricing is higher.
  6. Yes it does matter!!! How do I know what to insure it for!?
  7. No, it has nothing to do with that, you're just in a minority in agreeing with your sentiment.
  8. To most die-hard 300zx enthusiasts, the Z is not just 'one of those cheap fast cars'. To many, the car was a childhood dream car, I include myself in that. I've wanted a Z32 since it was launched. Most people that buy them now generally aren't looking for a 'cheap fast car', that stuff went through the millstone 5-10 years ago now.
  9. No one is 'obsessed' with the values of them; this is one thread of a small number, it's only 3 pages...you're free not to view it if you have such distain for a discussion on the market values of these cars. It's a point of interest for many and always will be for those that buy and maintain cars that are slowly turning into classics.. The 'reasons' also are laid out within this very thread; insurance purposes and resale. Whether you like it or not, the market value of a retro or classic vehicle is ALWAYS going to be a discussion point.
  10. That reminds me, I must drop off my dash clocks off to you! I'm on the IoW on Thursday next week.....
  11. Big services companies have very high powered lawyers. Unless the state is to intervene, it's unlikely that a big fine would be imposed. In addition, that fine would then get passed back to the consumer. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. On a plus note of 'justice', Gary Glitter has now been sent to jail and will hopefully die there. Let's hope they don't put him in segregation (unlikely however)!
  12. Who's car did you buy? Got any photos or description?
  13. Since our last meet at Haynes, something of a transformation has happened there. The new museum was half built, but now it's been completed, Haynes Motor Museum are doing monthly breakfast club meetings there now on the first Sunday of each month and we are going to hold our first meet there conjointly with the Southern area (but of course, anyone's welcome). There's coffee, full English breakfast at their Café 750, a variety of different cars in attendance and also the museum. There is also this : For those of you that haven't been, Haynes is a fantastic museum with one of the biggest car collections in the whole of Europe and certainly the biggest in the UK. http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/events/2465-9700/haynes-breakfast-club.php In the afternoon, for any keen aviation enthusiasts (like myself, JoelyP, AndrewG etc), Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum is also on the cards for those that want to head here too as it's only 5 miles from Haynes. http://www.fleetairarm.com So, a really nice day out with or without the family. Please put your names down for those who want to attend :) Meet points/times to be arranged, but expect a reasonably early start. :) 1: Funkysi 2: Stephen 3: pig 4: sdriver73 5: Dark Angel 6: Richard Smith
  14. I guess t-top vehicles are classed as open top! I might go if I'm in the UK!
  15. Updated chaps. Sorry it's been a while! Spring is fast approaching and we'll be looking at getting something in the diary potentially with the southern area guys. Looking at a Haynes Breakfast Club meet probably in April (5th).
  16. I prefer the offset burble of a true-twin system. :) Never been won over on the appeal of a single exit system, both in terms of looks or sound.
  17. I think Steve wants to do that!
