  1. It's just had an oil change actually. 10W40 Magnatec.
  2. Had a message from a friend who was there....300ZXTT ran an 11 second 1/4 @ 130mph!!! So who's was it?
  3. But that wouldn't send loads of crap through the exhaust would it? I'll check tomorrow when it's light.
  4. Oh right I see. So it could be ok given a few more days use? Obviously don't drive it hard. Don't really anyway, I'm too scared of it breaking.
  5. What do you mean? Is that the reason the PCVs give up? Because they are not actuated for months on end?
  6. I am pretty sure that the two problems are related...ie, sudden and very short oil discharge and now a leak...only thing that could cause this would be a buggered PCV wouldn't it?
  7. LOL. Yeah, going to keep an eye on it...hope it's something minor. Only had the car 3 days. :(
  8. Oil is kinda directly under the servo.
  9. If it was then turbo seals then would it not be smoking all the time? Also, it's quite low down, well below the level of the cams.
  10. Loads Of Beans!!!!!
  11. On my way back from the Ross-on-Wye meet today, pulled into a service station to fill up with fuel. Car's been running very well. Driving it steadily. Pulled on to the motorway slip road and decided to use the power a bit, 2nd, 3rd 4th, all pulled well. Once I changed to 5th, a nice cloud of smoke came out of the back. It cleared, the oil pressure gauge moved a little and then it was fine. Still holding boost, tried the power again and exhaust was fine. Car was as it was before. Got back home and noticed a small amount of smoke coming from the left hand side back part of the engine between it and the bulkhead. Just checked the car that's now been stood for a few hours and there's a tiny drop of oil on the floor. Only a very small amount. Has a PCV valve shot its load and decided to start leaking a bit?
  12. What a cracking day!! Loved it. Zed guys/gals there were great. Nice cars and good company. Had a few probs with my Zed on the way back though. :(
  13. It was afterwards...we were as high as kite!

  15. Nice one Dave....well, it looks good now we got all that haze off the doors yesterday :)
  16. Nope, never been in trouble with the law at all, let along been arrested....let along being banged up in a cell. Would like to spend a day in a prison though to see what it's like.....obviously without comitting an offence.
  17. ....keep it up guys, it's entertaining my rather sad and sober evening. :nana2: :p
  18. LOL....pearlies are quickest though. ;)
  19. Yeah, I've never understood that 'extension of manhood' phase. It's cobblers, because I'm quite well endowed. Anyway, moving swiftly onwards....my other threads probably bored everyone half to death...but yes...it's mine now thank god. :) Taking it to its first meet on Sunday as well. :)
  20. Granted, I hate christmas, but today has been excellent. Best in many a year. FINALLY, I now have a Zed sat on the driveway. The drive back was utterly hideous though. Not only was the traffic a total mare, but the situation was made worse by appaling weather. I was brought quickly back down to earth today...or maybe it was just a general lesson about how to drive a Zed. Came out of a roundabout near Heathrow (no, not following IndianZX), dual carriage way, sat beind some old gimmer in a Fiesta, just lightly dabbed the accelerator, back went straight out. As quickly as I had dabbed the pedal, I released it again and corrected the steering. It snapped back into a straight line, but was almost a brown trouser moment as the road really was wet. Now it wasn't me being silly, more of an error of judgment. But overall, a good lesson to learn, was nothing major, just a scene with what 'could' happen. Just shows their power....and general non traction abilities in the wet. It took over 4 hours to get back from London today. 2 and a half on a good day. Anyway, I cleaned it the minute I got home. So happy with it. Everyone rubber necks when they see it. :) Zeds rule. :nana2:
  21. I'm thinking Sunday, the weather is going to be ok....are gazebos going to be needed?
  22. Gaz is along the right lines I think. Maybe (during the smoothing process) areas were filled and the filler has sunk a bit.
  23. http://www.import-ance.co.uk is one I am using right now. Excellent so far.
  24. This any help? This is mine....or rather will be tomorrow. Centre sprayed bodycolour.
