Really gutted for you mate. I drove my zed into work for the first time since late summer and I took it so steadily. Although there's no ice/frost, the tyres are cold and the road is not at its best. I drove like a 75 year old pensioner to work today. Just so scared of anything happening to it.

Sounds ace....wish mine had that, I'd stay there for hours. Yup, I've found that there is a 10 - 15 min barrier, once past that, it almost becomes enjoyable...although it is far from that!

I'm trying a minimum of 3 times a week, I'm pretty much sticking to that. I hate it, it bores me. But I feel really good and pumped up after. Just done a 2hr session. Mainly on the cross trainer. But some evenings, I find I can't last much more than half an hour. I felt like that initially tonight, but suddenly, I found reserves of energy, not sure where from and I didn't want to leave. No one was in there either, so wacked on a 'choice' CD and just went mad for a while. Anyone else find this? Must be a combination of mental state, surroundings and getting past that 'barrier'. :smash:

I'd sooner have a Zed than a Scooby or Evo. In all honesty, can anyone find either of those cars attractive? Sure they are good fun etc...but they are just saloon cars with ungainly bodykits.

I don't think the prices have changed dramatically over the past 4 or 5 years. I remember when I first started getting interested in purchasing a Zed, I was still seeing them go for about £3k to £4k and decent ones going for £5k - £6k.

Thing is with Max Poo. It did used to be a very good magazine in its infancy some 10 years ago. I remember originally, it was a bit like a tongue 'n' cheek version of Car and Car Conversions. Today though, and I'm not having a go or being an ass, it's still got good resources...somewhere, but the amount of junk in there that you have to wade through just makes the mag seem so wishy washy. Hidden puns? Dude, I'm not having a go...chill...not sure why you're singling me out as some kind of critter.

So what exactly is happening? Is it some sort of track day or is it going to be a mini-trax? Sounds kinda cool anyway none the less. Would be good to have some members represent the Zed for TV. :D

Can't compare Banzai too much with Max Poop. Max Poop is utter 5hite. Crap mag for the Mcdonalds cruisers to lust over. To tell people to get a life because they find a trashy magazine for spotty teenagers 'good' is in itself good intent to 'get a life' as you so nicely put it. I have a job hobby and life thanks very much and it doesn't revolve around slags with their tits out, the cruiser fraternity and OTT bodymods. I fail also to see why having an opinion about a Mazagine has to do with the support of this club. ;)

I agree to a point. There aren't that many coming over in comparison to other models/marques. I do agree in the fact that a lot of the imports that come over here are utter hounds and just not really a good thing.

You can, but it would be an utter dog. The average price of a zed does not reflect the going rate for a good Manual TT.

Does the Yank MPH gauge vary from the UK spec one? If I go out to the states again this year, might see if I can find one. I'm guessing, if anything, that they max out at a low speed or something.

That dash board bits on that Dave look so 'home made'. Must say, I do like the dials. Looks much better than that ugly dash extension you can get for the Zed.

£2995 ono. Just called. Tis cheap. Can't believe how much more Manual versions go for. The same car if manual with that mileage would expect £4k+ I would have thought.
