  1. Sorry yeah. DTA motorsport. :)
  2. Circa £25 from Danny I think. Was the first thing I did to mine when I got it.
  3. Looks very nice....get rid of the orange indicators though. ;)
  4. Well, fingers crossed. I don't drive it hard anyway and the times I have come on boost, it's been fine, it's kinda strange. Does long motorway runs without any problems at all. Knowing my luck, I'm sure it is very slight wear that's causing it. It would appear the engine is breathing, hence the shagged main seal...:(
  5. Right so it's in having a main seal replaced and PCV valves/hoses done as well. All stems from a problem I had about a month after I bought the car. Dip stick blew out and sprayed oil everywhere when on hard boost for quite a bit of time. After that the main seal failed as well. Thinking it was breather related, I replaced one PCV valve...couldn't get the other fitted because I'm crap, anyway, dip stick stays in situ, it's not the tightest of fit, but none the less, it stays where it is. Engine still runs very very well and is as smooth as it's ever been. Haven't driven the car a huge amount, car constantly stinks of oil due to the main seal and leaky/hard PCV pipes and one PCV valve that's not been replaced. So, it's in now, having a new main seal, new prop shaft bearing, new diff and gearbox oil along with PCV hoses and the other valve. Now, it doesn't smoke from the exhaust, well, it does on start up. When on boost, with the main seal gone, it sprays out of there a bit and you get smoke from underneath the car burning off on the exhaust. As I said, this is all being sorted at the moment. It doesn't smoke at any other time, through normal driving, it will of course dump oil out of the exhaust at random intervals as most zeds do from time to time. So, before it was jacked up, off came the oil oil cap and it was found that the oil was pulsing and blowing up a very tiny through the filler. I put oil in the car yesterday and dropped a fair bit down the sides, so it could have been that still burning off a little. I am now very concerned as to whether the compression test due to be carried out tomorrow will provide unwanted results. Bricking it now. It's a low mileage car...condition of that is apparent too. The oil pressure gauge does however still read as a normal zed does though. :(
  6. Pay em £5 a month, that'll keep them happy. Honest, I've been doing it for about a year now!
  7. Christ man, you change your mind more than a politician, first new bumper, then considering a bodykit, then race tuning the N/A, then considering a V8...now selling.... ;)
  8. Buy a shell and find a 4x4 with 'nearly' the same wheel base...drop shell onto chassis and weld. As you can see, they've gone about 10cm's too long with the chassis.
  9. Cheers for the pic Angus.
  10. Narrr. Not at all. ANGUS, GET YA COCK OUT!
  11. Get ya nob out Angus!!!
  12. Zeds do pump out a lot of condensation on startup, especially at the moment.
  13. Is that a monster sun burn mark?
  14. Not quite, nearly though! It's taking up half the street!
  15. Yes, you heard it first here! I am now Zedless and have a part campervan converted 400,000 mile Merc Sprinter van! Pictures to follow. :) Get my Zed back on Sunday.....cheers Jason for the loan of the Van, much appreciated. :duffer:
  16. No to the first question! ;)
  17. Wet t-shirt competition Dave!!!
  18. Not very exciting I'm afraid guys, but I like it. It's my work's computer anyway.
  19. Go for it....I actually like the decal too. Usually I absolutely detest any form of stickering as I find it makes the car look ever so tacky, but I think what you have looks great! If you want a bodykit, stick with the stillen add ons. Won't need humongous rims then and thus saving a bit. Stillen stuff also marries up with the other lines of the car which a lot of aftermarket bits just don't do. If you get rid of those mud flaps though, let me know. Personally, I'd keep it as it is or fit the Stillen extensions. Nice a subtle bits.
  20. Leave it as it is bud, it really does look very sweet. Just sweeten it up by fitting OE wipers, clear indicators and 99 spec lights.
  21. If it's the black one, leave it as it is. Looks nice in current guise.....agree also with Jaff.

Does anyone actually like the look of Evos though? Although the mechanicals are very impressive, I think they are pretty darn ugly. The Evo 6 being the most ugly. It's pretty much a Mitsubishi Carisma with a 'Maxed-up' bodykit. If similar things were fitted to a Ford Mondeo, it would get laughed at. Sorry, but ugly.... Shame, Mitsuibish could fit that lot into a sexy sleak little 2 seater sports car and I'd be dribbling all over it....
  23. I worked for Alstom for a while Dave. Reconditioning rolling stock mainly. I was only there for a short while when I was looking for work. They treated their employees like shite to be honest.
