  1. I should really shouldn't I as the original problem was there about a month after I bought the car. Oil leaking and blowing the dipstick out. He's a trader on here now as well. Just not sure where I stand.
  2. Yes I did Chris, although the same engine was advertised on here previously. Not too sure what I'm going to do now. Will try and contact seller and see if there is anything he'll do for me.
  3. Well, I've not had a lot of luck with my heap of shit. It's kinda taken another turn for the worse. Whilst the engine had been bodged at some point along the line before I bought it, the replacement engine I bought last month is also ****ed. Did a compression test today and one of the rear cylinders is also down at around 50PSi. Is there anything remotely good about these engines? Is it worth all this hassle and agro? I'm beginning to think otherwise. Sure, I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought the thing, but this is taking the piss now. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Had a moment of madness and nearly stuck the thing up on here for spares or repair. I certainly wish to high heaven that I'd NEVER bought the one that I have now. I paid good money for the tidiest one I could find and people ride around in £2,000 examples and have trouble free motoring after driving them hard. /end of rant
  4. Why would you want a pic of a USB receiver? It's like requesting a photo of a Compact disk.
  5. Looking at getting one, just wondered how good/bad they actually are. Seem v.cheap. So not too sure. Anyone rate them?
  6. Would be nice if I got a sticker......
  7. http://www.juswheels.co.uk The chap I'm going to use to recondition my Advan rims. He'll re-build them for not a lot and will mirror polish/spray whatever you want. He's very well priced too. Not expensive like I thought it might be.
  8. £1000 is about the going rate. Engine out job for those iirc.
  9. It's Friday....don't worry. :)
  10. Doesn't sound too difficult...I'll arrange the same again....
  11. Can you pose next to my Zed Trinity? Might make it looks half decent then.
  12. Happy Birthday Si! Hope all is well in the land of the ogre. I made a dirty great cake for your consumption. Just having it loaded into the back of a LWB Transit.
  13. Half of Avonmouth paper mill bud!
  14. Is it the same model though? Best to have the same make/model of tyre on the same axel. Not so bad back to front, but each side should be the same.
  15. Should try and get a pic of Glenn's missus. She's an absolute Goddess!!!
  16. Your wheel was either out of balance or the tyre was defective.
  17. Gutted for you mate. Hope it's repairable. 99spec unblended front bumper time maybe? Or are you going to repair current one.
  18. I like the new ST, sounds much nicer than the VXR, but the VXR looks nicer and contrary to the test on top gear, the handling's a match for the ST as on TG the VXR shown was actually a VXR test platform using SRi suspension components.
  19. A mildly tuned RS wouldn't have much of a problem against a standard Zed TT or GTr R33. There are quite a few 300bhp RS's around. On another forum I use, there's already a map for the Astra VXR in development using standard internals/turbos already hitting 304bhp
  20. From what I understand is that most places won't do them because it takes so much time. Takes about an hour to strip a rim and then a few hours to rebuild. Been speaking to a few people over on detailingworld.com and you just need to take your time.
  21. I'd watch it, Filthy Fil has some really naughty pics of his missus!!
  22. Has anyone on here ever done it? I did see a thread where someone was half way through it, but can't find it. Just wondering if anyone's done it successfully at all or not. I'll not be refurbing them. But would like to strip and rebuild them. Do they require gaskets or sealing upon rebuild? Any info would be a help. Thanks Si
