My father's had motability cars for years. Great schemes. Car doesn't have to be returned in immaculate condition. Wear and tear and minor knocks and dents respective to the car's use/age are fine. But with the excess in the free insurance being only about £70, there is no excuse to return it in a beaten up state really. Good cars those MK5s. Well screwed together. I'm really happy with mine chunk.

Well the parts have all arrived. The spare engine is being stripped tonight...it's already been partially stripped. Need to take the crank and pistons out, check the bores which look pretty reasonable. Glaze bust the bores, measure the pistons for wear (only one has a slight bit of movement, but that could just be due to rings....have a few spare decent pistons). Replace rings and oil seal rings, clean and reface heads, refit cleaned tappets from old engine and reassemble. Hopefully the engine should be back in once peice sometime next week and hopefully preperations can begin for refit for the week after. I'm taking this opportunity to degrease, steam clean and polish up the engine bay, want to clean and detail the arches/suspension components. Should look semi-concourse when back. I will see how I feel when I get it back. Currently I hate the car although I do miss it. Probably because of the fact that the weather is so nice and I'm bored of using my Astra 24/7

Strange site that. The GTO gets a higher mark than the 300ZX and they seem to think that the Supra had a V6 engine instead of the straight 6 they all came with.

I've only seen a handful of Nissan Figaros on the road.... That's because they only made them for a short while over here. Go to the States or Japan and they are everywhere. They are/where mass produced. ;)

Friend of mine used to have a 4x4 Calibra Turbo which was tuned to about 350bhp...he could hit 60 in about 4.5 seconds. Certainly doesn't make it a supercar.

Zed is not supercar in my eyes. Fast GT car yes... First on my list would be an electric blue Lamborghini Gallardo. There is no car better looking IMHO. This in Electric blue would be amazing.

Currently I'm having the engine fully rebuilt. Just wondering what it would be worth really. Considering putting it up for sale when I get it back. For those that have seen it, they know that the car is in amazing condition....has some nice extras on it. 18" split rims, Vielside exhaust etc. Interior is unmarked and unworn. It's also a manual TT version in pearl white....kinda rare. Could I expect to get £4,000 for it?

I've been almost put at complete dis-interest in this site as of late with all the politics. It's supposed to be an enthusiasts club, it feels far from it.

Unless you're going to do an all round (equal grade) tint, then I'd not bother doing just the rear and 3/4 windows. Looks incomplete then.

I use FP sometimes. Met a few girlies on there, but no one that's really caught my fancy.

I find myself using the forum less and less now. But that's mainly due to the fact that I've pretty much lost interest in the car all together.
