  1. As soon as it's finished, I'll be sure to try and get some pics up and maybe some videos.
  2. Bye bye bulkhead. Looking forward inside the car with part of the bulkhead and floor pan removed. Engine and gearbox now in. The whole car is now being rigorously strengthened. Should be finished soon. If anyone's interested, I'll keep this thread updated.
  3. I'd looked into doing this on my old Astra Cabriolet as I'd gotten bored with the V6 engine that I'd fitted. Anyway, a chap I know from another forum is now in the process of fitting a 5.7 LS1 engine into his Astra Coupe. (same engine as the newer Corvettes/ GTOs and Monaros to name but a few) This is what car modifying is all about to me. Subtle looks and big power! Engine conversions on this scale just get me salivating profusely. This is how the car started off. He'd modified it a bit. Comes fitted with the wide arch Irmscher DTM kit. Car underneath is a 2.0 turbo. Loads of funky new bits Wheel well removed to make way for the rear diff. Underside shot show newly fabricated prop bracket Most of the rear end completed
  4. Depends what was standard and what wasn't. A TT zed should wipe the floor with a MK3 Poopra.
  5. Nice one Dave! Always liked the route you've taken with your Zed. Looks like you've got UK spec rimmage too. :D
  6. That's propper detailing technique and will take you about 7 - 10 hours to do properly if you have all the gear.
  7. If it's not badly faided, then I wouldn't bother with T-Cut. Get some Meguiars on there. Much easier to use and you'll get far better results. Then again, I'd not use T-Cut at all anyway. There are far better products on the market than T-Cut. It's not bad, I just wouldn't bother with it.
  8. No, T-Cut is a mild cutting compound and quite hard work to use. I don't envy you in the slightest doing your car. You do need to polish the car afterwoods to seal the paint.
  9. Hehehe! Someone saw me! Horrah! :D Thanks for the comments. Where in Weston did you see me and what car were you in?
  10. Thanks guys! I would have done it myself, but was unaware of the above tools.
  11. Hello, could someone do me a huge favour? Need distances for the following... All travelling from Portbury (Nr Bristol - Somerset/Avon) to the following... Fowey (Cornwall) Newport (South Wales) Plymouth (Devon). Thanks in advance.
  12. I've only been 3 times, so I guess I have some catching up to do!
  13. Look for Uncle Chunkle or pies...or BOTH!
  14. So will America!!!! lol
  15. I was just about to book a flight to San Diego at the end of next month. Was intending on spending 2 weeks out in Southern California, possibly popping into Mexico too for a few days...BUT, I've just remembered I have an ISA. Was just going to pay for the lot out of my current account, but have since thought about going back to my original plan of still going to California, but also hiring a car out and driving up into Arizona and towards Death Valley and to go and see the Grand Canyon. But the dilema is, I also want to spend some more on the 300ZX....but I also want to leave some cash in the pot. Not sure what to do. HELP! Want to book a flight tomorrow.
  16. Christ! How much lag though?
  17. Could be that the legs have been cut into the tailgate skin?
  18. Really good manual TTs I'd say go got £4k to £5.5k dependant apon condition. Autos take quite a bite into the price.
  19. LOL! Didn't mean for it to come out that way....hangover you see.

    Happy Birthday Athene!!
  21. £2.5k max for a TT? So you're looking for a pile of shit then. There is no single turbo version. You'll get a reasonable normally aspirated one for £2.5k. Welcome anyway.
  22. £820??????????????????????????? Christ. Too late to say this now, but take it Zen Garage or something next time. I bet the guy that did the work on your car hasn't even seen a set of wheels nuts from a 300ZX let alone worked on one.
  23. Yuk, don't go down the metaflake route. Ultra tacky. Can't go wrong with a metallic blue. Maybe a light one with a little flip in it.
  24. ...dunno if this will interest anyone. I always wondered what a tailgate skin would look like with a 99-spec spoiler on top. Came across this on AT. Other than the fact that it doesn't have 99 spec rears. Wheels and filler cap aside, I quite like the look of the back of this.
  25. I've always got 'puppies' on the brain too!
