pcv valves or turbo seals???
Have a look at the guides to removing the collant under the plenum. I didn't do it myself, it was done before I got the car. I think (although might be completely wrong) that it comes out and goes to the turbo coolant feed which is an absolute bugger to get to; down the back of the engine. Theoretically if you can find and get to the feed pipe and the end pipe then you can just connect the too together and leave all the tubing under the throttle bodies. I'm just thinking there is a coolant feed just under/behind the plenum near the throttle position sensor (next to the passenger hard pipe). Maybe you nudged this while playing with your hard pipes?

petrol in the oil!
Nice one, cheaper than nissan oem! Smithy does excellent service as well. Remember you'll need other stuff to, if you havn't already got it. Rings, gaskets, etc that will bring the price up a few hundred.

Close Call with Police
Lmao at Pk! Wish I was a woman, I'd go to bed and play with myself all day! Can't believe you got away with that story and flicking your eyelids! I'm jealous, I can't speed anymore because I have 9 points. Oh well if my missus managed to do the same I'd be happy , then I could speed and she could have the points! :hyper: :mac1:

petrol in the oil!
Standard zed pistons are forged anyhow mate. I think I paid around a £1k for pistons ,rings, and gaskets kit on my last zed although I can't remember exactly. The bore wash suggestions makes sense to, maybe theres a reason such as duff sensors or something? need someone clever to answer that.

Tyre Pressure

Still no stickers!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet you buy cereal you don't like because it has a free toy in it! Only joking Kenny but there's more to being here than a window sticker. Its the community and always having someone to make useful suggestions when things go wrong, plus someone to take the p*ss!!

funkySi and the Green eyed monster
Well worth it bud, its a lovely zed. You'll be able to replace all the awkward to get to hoses and stuff as well I guess.

Whats you worst/best part of the Z?
Likes - Performance, thrill of driving it fast, 99spec shape perfects it for me, my antera alloys, being able to take the roof off in the sun, having such an awesome car so cheap, the fact it is relatively unknown and rare; almost a cult car. Dislikes - How ninja it is to work on.

petrol in the oil!
It's probably been filled up with water thats now gone dirty. Sounds about right going by all the other things you've had go wrong, it probably needed filling lots and water was all they could be bothered with?

Sure I saw a history program where they said people used to drink lots of beer for this reason in the 'old days'. Any excuse will do.

Nice test track?????
pm'd you back bud! Didn't realise we'd hijacked the thread!! I'd never swap my zed for an rx7 but one would look nice next to the Zed! Anyhows nice vid lets drift!
-
Nice test track?????
Hmm that'll be why when they were racing the zed in america they changed to the Lwb then and started winning everything? Right back at ya! Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I prefer the rx7, just that I'd love to have one. I really wish you could see zed competing with gtr's and rx7's on the track battles in Japan but it doesn't seem to happen (nor supras). I guess supras and zeds are a different beast. One of the reasons I bought the zed was because I was driving very long distances so I wanted a performance car that wouldn't snap my spine spending 5 hrs on the motorway. The zed definately excels at this, and goes so fast so easily.

Nice test track?????
I love them. Faster round a track than a Zed and more performance orientated. If a zed as modded as mine didn't come up so cheap I would've had one. Just didn't want to spend the money and still have to think about re-building the engine at 60k. It was a close call but the zed was such a good one and the rx7 was an unknown quantity and more expensive.

FAO- Dave_G (and any surfers)
I've got fingers crossed tomorrow morning. Going to get up there first light if I can crawl out of bed. Forecast is 6ft at 6secs period, so by the time it hits the beach it'll probably be 2 or 3 ft, slow and lumpy! Oh and the winds are on-shore!! Still its better than the bathtub. Take out the mini-mal in my Zed surf mobile.

its over!
It'll be red to match his red beret, don't know why I didn't a green one? Red ones are faster than green ones though. Good to see you coming back Jack :hyper: . Thats another tour ticked off. Whats next mate?

Oh well at least you'll be more likely to be able to handle the waves after being in Fiji. I'd been in N.Ireland and hadn't seen the sea for 6 mths! and was aweful going left. Got some great waves though, after a month of being scaped over the reefs, then had to go home, boooo!
