  1. I'm sure you could manage that mate!! big rubber mallet is all it takes. 15min job. Save some cash and buy some spacers! Its probably all the garage will do and they'll charge you for an hours labour.
  2. If I wasn't the only one bringing the bread home at the moment I'd def be there mate, just can't justify it at the moment. One of my good mates that left the Marines just before me has just called and asked me to go to Prague for a 3 day stag do!! He reckons it'll be £200 quid but there's drinks and food and all the rest so it'll probably be double that at least. He even got me into the job I'm in now so can't refuse can I?! Can't bloody afford it either!
  3. Congratulations to you and your (bigger) family mate. Must be pretty amazing delivering your own baby.
  4. I've got several versions of PM but I think its the latest one I normally use, the older ones do NTFS anyhow. Maybe as Angus says: check your page file by going right click my computer, properties, advanced, performance and theres a bit that tells you how much of your harddisk is being used for paging file (used as memory when the hardware memory is full). Maybe set it to 0mb and then try re-sizing the partition. Then set it back to what it was before after you've created the new partition. Also turn off hibernation and screensavers, etc Dave
  5. I really want to get to more as well but havn't got the cash to replace tyres and pads and all that after since moving house :-( The whole reason I choose this Zed because it was set up so well for the track, lots of power but plenty of safety zone too. Have a good one mate
  6. I love them. Just been looking at the forum. ps - Some old zed people on there. Looked at his old posts on here and it opens a right can of worms from before the forum was a proper club.
  7. All my partitions are NTFS and partition magic always works fine and dandy and very simply! I do it for the same reasons as Angus and keep all my software and music, etc on the other partition so I can quickly re-install windows when it throws it teddies out of the pram. I can't understand why it isn't working for you? Are you re-sizing the partition successfully first?
  8. You can copy the link out of your browser address field and send them that, they just paste it into their browser and go there themselves. Or you can go to your internet explorer, tools, internet options, temporary internet files- settings, view files, and find the file you were just watching and save it to your hard drive/documents folder. Then send it as an attatchment.
  9. Sounds like a good way of jacking the zed up to change the oil, run over a pedestrian.
  10. Haha, how do you know about those games Chunk?!
  11. The back end likes to swap places with the front when coming out of a wet corner to fast ! :hyper: :hyper: :mac1:
  12. Hmmm He's got some nice ones hasn't he.
  13. Looks very nice mate! has it been lowered?
  14. http://www.ps3land.com/ That controller looks a bit mental! I take it that it senses the way it leans? Might start playing some games again! Wow and look at this vid of the controller in action (once the annoying pop up goes!) http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/index.html?p=ps3
  15. Much better using a z specialist as the nissan dealers know bugger all about Zeds as do the average grease monkey garage. Saying that the standard service stuff is pretty easy anyhow, oil, filters, etc.
  16. Z badge all the way for me.
  17. Surf on the west coast!!
  18. There are lots of exceptions but if the car has done 80k ish then expect the possibility of having to recon the auto-box.

Mines an everyday car. Costs £50 in petrol if I have to go into work everyday but I often work from home. I really want to get away from commuting one day. I dont think Zeds respond well to be stored away but I'm going to try and get a run about next winter to avoid the salty roads and general wear and tear. Might even get a heater matrix too haha. I can definately noticed the wear that the winter gone has caused.
  20. Nice one Dave. I need to sort my paint work out as well.

  22. Been 99% reliable. Used everyday and only thing that has ever gone is the MAF which I was expecting due to my old HKS air filter and heavy rain. I reckon they are better off being used reguarly IMO. Lots of stories of them being sat over winter and running like poo. Doesn't do the bodywork any good though!
  23. Have you looked at the workshop manual? Shows what to look for for different symptoms such as rough idling, etc. You'll need to narrow it down according to the things in the manual. - The temperature sensor on the front pipe from the rad is a good cheap fix that often helps rough running problems - There's a valve that controls extra air for when the car is idling - Check you are firing on all six cylinders by removing the coil pack connectors. Each time you remove one you should notice the change in engine note. If not then that one isn't doing anything. - Check for sparks on the plugs - Compression? although if its a new engine that should be ok There's a whole list of things in the manual. Seeing as you've replaced the engine and still have problems then it could be the wiring loom is cooked and connectors need cleaning/replacing and maybe wiring needs looking at.
  24. I don't mind jumping on a saxo and swinging my wanger around! haha Not sure the missus would approve though. :nana2:
