  1. I like the OEM look better, but all depends on your style. Hopefully the caliper/pads just need loosened off and put back together. Common problem when any car isn't used much, I had to exercise them after every winter to keep them operating nicely.
  2. Ahhh shes looking lovely. Well done bud.
  3. I've used a can of baked beans in the past on various cars !
  4. It's going to be one well sorted Zed ?
  5. Great work mate, shame the bushes didn't work out. I had something similar happen with the Skyline, but I actually was there when the garage fitted them and watched them fuck it up, just used too much force, hence why they paid for replacements ? Be great when it's finally fixed for you, should be lovely to drive. Trying to think back if I had a boost controller in that car, but I think it was my first Zed that I had one fitted, and not that one, will be in the history anyway I'm sure.
  6. Also try running the program in compatability mode for Win 7.
  7. I wouldn't other with any chips as such. Take it to someone reputable with the 300zx and have them map it there and then, it is worth it's weight in gold to have it done this way, so the map is adjusted to your car exactly rather than a generic map.
  8. It's just a case of leaving a hose pouring water over the car, and sitting inside the car to track it, had this on another car years ago, took weeks to find a tiny little hole in the firewall letting water in. Don't rule out the heater matrix, just in case, you can never rule anything out till you find the culprit. Can't mind if there are any places where the wiper motor/linkage etc sits where water can get in if holes are blocked, common on other cars, not so sure about the Zed.
  9. Naz, totally off topic but I can't PM you, cleaning out my garage and found 4 new connectors with wiring I bought from CZP years ago and lost in said garage lol, do you want them?
  10. I really like the side profile of it, looks great, the front needs a bit of tweaking though.
  11. Had a crazy couple of races there, long may it continue! 2022 is where the biggest changes will all appear though and should all being well, be good.
  12. Great to see things being done correctly mate, it's had a pampered lifestyle this car!
  13. Really nice clean car that.
  14. I know two people that have died form the virus mate, it's not good, some others I know know have caught it and recovered. One of them was fit as a fiddle, and in the space of 2 weeks he was weak as could be, then passed away.
  15. Good stuff mate, smart decision.
  16. I was looking at getting the newer style ones as mentioned above, but then got the Skyline and it was sold instead, they are cheap so worth getting and changing for sure.
  17. Had to tighten the clips once a year ?
  18. Double check all those fuel pipes under the bonnet including to the fuel pressure regulator, had to fix them multiple times. Then follow the fuel pipes.
  19. Powerzed are the go to for many people on here, and has a great reputation. I wouldn't use the guys in Crawley, the Zed needs people with real hands on knowledge, otherwise stuff will get messed up, happened so many times on the forum to loads of people.
  20. Nice! Garages always referred to it as the minty clean Zed anywhere I took it ? That is one cooked clutch, although I've seen worse ?
  21. Z1 or CZP sell an aircon unit for US models, it has different routing for the pipes I believe, surely an aircon guy would have no problem sorting pipes? I've tried to find out if there would be any differences that could cause other issues, not totally sure on this.
  22. I've been faced with the same problem in the past with another car. The way I decided was that no matter what, the work was needing done, and getting it fixed and fixed permanently sooner rather than later was the sounder investment idea. Especially with an older car, rust can be eating away in places that may not be noticeable, so patching up the sills will help, but only that one area, other areas may worsen, costing you more. Or how about getting chassis undersealed and sills repaired, they could easily paint just the sills when fixed, then doing the rest at a later date once the rust is safe? But life, houses, etc come before cars, so that may decide for you, just may end up costing some more when the time does arrive to repair.
  23. It's not the weight, it's the value the sender reports. I used to ask them to report a low value, to try and get round it ?
  24. I had looked at the ISF as well, much rarer to find though than the C63, and after driving both, preferred the Merc anyway ?
  25. The C63 is nice. When I sold the Zed I bought an R33 GTR, which needed a ton of work, but after a year and after it was perfect I sort of lost interest, it was great but I had put in so much work, I was getting sick of looking at it, even though it was fixed. Sold that and bought a newish Jaguar XKR, but it whilst being good was not the same to drive, and had no room for anything. The C63 is quicker than all the above, whilst driving nice and having enough room for the family when needed. Only thing I've done is dusted off the detailing equipment, polished and ceramic coated everything, then under-sealed after cleaning out the rust spot rear arches. I plan to leave it standard, almost everyone rips the cats out and remaps them to over 500bhp, which is still fairly unstressed being a 6.3, it's quick enough though for public roads. This is a late 62 plate, so head studs not an issue...just the fuel bill lol but to be fair it averages 20mpg and just now thats all short journies, so fine for me.
