  1. bmw 320 or 325? hoping to get about 30 mpg on these with normal driving mostly around town, rear wheel drive fun especially in the wet, and good strong build calibra v6 undated front, awesome v6 note, nice heated leather lol, and 170 bhp. or a mr2 non turbo rear wheel drive, does this have traction? of so is it fully switchable? any of these are for under 1000. so which is it to be and why? obviously i dont want a runaround which is going to cost more than my second car.
  2. this guy is nuts maybe an old video........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgcklao2UhU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_PsCFj9bDw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx1CkPcICaY
  3. each to their own, id place the nsx last mate lol. for me itl lbe the gto then z32.
  4. thats fine with me. where you going to be?
  5. i think the rear of the nsx is crap lol.
  6. never as im going to get another zed maybe next year lol, its your lucky day, i have a day off on that day. lol.
  7. lol i wish, i meant a year, minimum lol.
  8. this guy liked to go sideways more then straight ahead. :).
  9. I forgot to mention the most important thing, i do over 10,000 miles in my GTO every day, its my daily driver so was my 300zx, so both can be reliable. dont believe the myth that GTO are more unreliable than 300zx cus they can both make you in debt quickly.
  10. i have had both got the gto now, may be getting another zed twin turbo .... had my zed over a year and only problem i had was a new clutch so thats down to normal wear and tear. had the GTO for 3 years, output shaft gone 800 pounds and thats it, touch wood. pro's of the zed and GTO reliable if looked after best to buy within the club. GTO is 4 wheel drive may be heavier definatly not slower excellent traction from start to finish just what you need especially in the wet. you can have ALOT more fun in the zed as you can choose to either go straight or side ways. people say the zed is hard to work on but GTO traders say the zed is harder to work on. GTO can be more forgiving due to the permanant 4 wheel drive, but that means if your output shaft for the transfer box goes that 800 pounds. both have their own common problems question is which do you feel gives you most comfort, safety reliability and smiles. no Doubt the interior in the Zed is the best ever. both can be tuned to over 400 bhp with standard engine. i got a GTO your more than welcome to have a passenger ride in it.
  11. have you guys 'drag raced' it?
  12. taken from Legraths post If its drivetrain related you should feel the vibration through the car itself (like the seat and floor) rather than through the steering wheel. You can normally tell if its the bearing before you remove it, the propshaft will be sagging in the middle of the bearing and it might be torn. If its not the bearing it could be the Rear gearbox mount, its worth changing wether or not the prop bearing is damaged as its often the sagging of the rear gearbox mount that damages the prop bearing. Notchy Prop UJ's are another possible culprit , as well as the actual diff itself (although very rare, and usually noisy too) No need to press fit them, not that sort of bearing. Might need to knock the old one off with a vice and hammer if its stuck but thats it. Drop Exhaust. Remove heatshield (if it still there) Mark the two halves of the prop with a white market/tipex so you know which way they should line up again afterwards. Undo the 4 17mm holding the Two prop halfs together Undo the 2 17mm Bolts holding propshaft to the car Pull the front end of prop out of gearbox Undo large nut on end of prop Pull of Bearing Slip new bearing on and put it all back together Make sure you put the spacers back in the same way they came out where the bearing carrier mounts to the car, and that you line the two halves of the prop back up together in same place.
  13. do you have a boost leak?
  14. if it feels central then its your prop shaft, quite a common problem.
  15. that mileage h does could be around town too, as my bmw 728 did around 180 around town only. ive seen a few high performance cars on LPG and theres even an skyline on ebay?pistonheads?
  16. sorry to hear that, i had my zed tt when i was 20.

  19. thanks alot for spending all that time to write that out, now i know what to look for when looking for one. i just got an quote and an 320i is 300 pounds less to insure than the 323i.

  21. how easy is the 320 to drift in the wet? a 320 insurance is much cheaper.was it good on petrol?
