  1. Having a bit of a problem shipping my exhaust at the moment. Paisley freight picked it and then returned it a few days later saying it was to wide to ship. who do you guys use for shipping exhausts ? Thanks, Adam
  2. Fair play Edviss, you boys don't hang around. What takes me two months takes you 2 days !
  3. Cheers mate, just read all these. Mark built my car for rustysills , so that would explain the lack of over flow bottle . My car has always used water since I built it up last winter . Nothing mental just it needs topping up every three weeks of daily driving. This would explain the usage . No compression issues and did a block test cos I thought the hg was on its way out . Going to fit a catch bottle and see if and see if anything condenses out
  4. Hi Guys, I was always under the impression the radiator on a 300zx was a closed system , if pressure builds up the rad cap allows it to bleed off ? My car is fitted with a Koyo rad and this has a tube coming from an oulet near the rad car that is open to air , is this normal ? this would be a an open system allowing water vapor to escape? Thanks, Adam
  5. Welcome to the club mate , any pics of your zed?

  9. I have a guy wanting to buy my engine through paypal, but lives in barbados . He said he used to be a member on here, but he isn't listen. He wants me to ship the engine to wolverhampton for his guy to rebuild the motor before shipping it out there... sounds like a scam to me .
  10. Thanks for your reply Jeff, you are a fountain of Z knowledge:-) you don't know anyone who can repair them do you ? thanks, Adam
  11. Hi Guys, Just to update you, I still have an ECU problem :-( I removed the old ecu and then put it back on and the car, it ran fine for three days then the same fault occurred . I removed the ecu and managed to get home OK but have been put off driving it until its sorted( that was three weeks ago) I purchased an ECU off ebay (turned out to be a member on here ) the ecu had a socketed chip, I planned to test the ECU on my car and if it worked swap the chips over. I disconnected the battery fitted new ECU and then reconnected the battery, fuel pump started priming without the keys in the ignition ? car started fine with no CEL lights etc .turned the ignition off and the fuel pump was still on . I swapped my Noz chip into the new ECU andd the car runs great except the fuel pump is always on :-( Can anyone shed any light on this ? getting frustrated now. Thanks, Adam
  12. I cut the threaded end off with an angle grinder, then carefully removed the lip of the bush with a grinder.Put the whole lot in a vice with a 29mm socket on the back and an 18mm where the thread used to be. I used a 2ft extention bar and pressed it out (it was hard work). If I did it again I would use a press.
  13. Hi gents, I'm after an engine ecu for my twin turbo Either auto or manual as long as it works. Cheers, Adam
  14. Thanks for the replies gents. I am going to open it up myself this evening to see if there is anything obvious . I'll put some pics up in case there is something very obvious you guys can spot . I have Pm'd a member on here, who helped resolve this issue for another member. I have offered to cross his palms with silver, hopefully he can help me :-)
  15. Hi Gents, My 300zx has been playing up over the last few weeks. I have tracked it down to an ECU fault, it is quite well documented on twinturbo.net Basically the car will be driving (under any conditions) and it will cut out, CEL light comes on and aux fan comes on, Can't pull any codes as the light is on solid . If I disconnect the ECU and reconnect it the issue goes away for a day or two then comes back. The car had a new loom a few years ago and all the wiring looks to be in good nick apart from wire off the ecu which is held together with one of the blue plastic crimp clips. The car was mapped by Noz a few years ago so I believe the ECU chip to either have a dry joint (what ever that means ) or it needs re-fitting. Do you guys know where I can send my ECU to get this checked and work done ? Cheers, Adam
  16. Hi Edviss, I love the videos mate, I want the same look for my zed . I've always been jap, lowered with bbs lm's it's kinda my thing. In your experience would 18x10.5 all round fit , at Et 20 with 255 /35/18 rear and 245/35/18 front . My car is lowered on standard shocks with eibach springs so not that low and the arches are rolled. Coilvers to come :-) Cheers , Adam
  17. This was magazine featured years ago I believe. It is the car that got me into Zeds. I would have to do a manual conversion on it though.
  18. Hi guys, I know I can buy these from America , but I need them for the 1st weekend of June and if ordered them today I won't get them in time. Cheers gents , Adam
  19. Hi gents, I've been offered another set of rims for my car and I fancy a change (even though I quite like these) This is for the wheels only as I want to keep the tyres for the new set. I can deliver as far as Scotland for £35 quid using Paisley Freight. I think they are 18x9 and 18x8 up front. Not sure of the offset but they don't rub and they fill the arches nicely. There are a few marks (nothing major) one centre cap is missing but can be bought from ebay. More pics to follow if there is any interest
  20. How much have you got left do ?
  21. Hi Guys, I'm going to this, I went last year in my 240z and had a great time, it wasn't too over crowded and the drift display was great. I may try and get in the Zclub owners area or the 350z uk owners area. Anybody else fancy it ?
  22. I changed the rear HICAS ball joints on mine, absolute pig of a job. I had to take both the rear hubs off and press them out with a vice and sockets (massive extension bar and brute force is needed if you try this)
  23. Hi Guys, Does anyone have a rear CV hub nut they want to sell me? it's the big 36mm one I'm after I desperately need one ASAP . Cheers, Adam
  24. I found them :-) its actually called a Hicas rear ball joint. They are about £50 on ebay .
