basically i can do all that stuff myself, did all servicing on my old cars, but this d!ick with a skyline r34 gtr at the nissan garage told me hed check it over good and proper etc etc etc. but hes a scam artist. although he did change my oil cheap. hes a cock. i use castrol rs 10w60 too, 27.99 off an ebay shop, £6 delivery, and if u buy 2 its still £6 delivery.

mate i just got a 300zx with full nissan history, so last week i decided to be a bigboy and take it to my local nissan garage. wot i realised is that the basic '1' servicing is an oil change and top up of other fluids, the next '2'up changes spark plugs, and the next '3' major service changes air and fuel filters too. otherwise the more you pay the more they look at is how it goes, cos the guy told me for the '3' major service they check brakes etc... but thats it, they dont change anything. what i found to my expense was that these guys knew nothing about the zed, so the bulshit service was an oil change only and all for a lousy stamp. even though i havent used a specialist [yet], i advise taking your car to one, as nissan will also put crappy oil into the car (normally elf 5w-40 semi synth) although i supplied my own. from what i gather the specialists here know there stuff so to avoid big bills in the future go with 1 instead of nissan even though it may be a trip.

cmon man i just realised the standard bushes are grease filled from searching, but would replacing them with the last type of bush u suggested be any better? i heard their sh!t filled?

Quick [dumb] question, are the bushes on the 300zx grease filled???

what was missing from the courtesy kit? i was thinking of buying the 'Energy Suspension Z32 Rear Sub Frame Set', and 'Energy Suspension Differential Carrier Bushing Kit', is this what you bought from courtesy?

Hi guys I have just got my car back from being serviced at a Nissan dealer the guy who serviced it has a skyline and is a bit of an enthusiast, and recommended i have the work below carried out elsewhere as nissan will charge extortionate sums of cash. basically everything seems to be in order apart from the bushes on the rear subframe since one is leaking. am I correct in saying that instead of replacing the entire subframe (like what nissan want me to do), I can buy a rear subframe bush kit from the likes of say, courtesy and have it fitted at another garage? If I can just replace the bushes on there own, are there any uprated parts that anyone here would suggest? the osf track control arm is leaking too (which i understand is a common problem?) are there uprated bushes for these too which will stop leaking? or shall I just replace the arm? thanks guys

Hi guys I have just bought a 300zx auto tt 1992 uk car in red... its fkin excellent! its got 37k miles and fnsh! basically Jim Marshall the founder of Marshall amplification (famous among musicians) was the first/last owner and only occasionally used it. got it for £6500... always been garaged and MOTs & FNSH etc verifies the milage. the cambelt was changed in 2003 but was at 33k miles. the car is like brand new, my dad whos mechanically competant checked it for me, and i looked at all the buyers guides and it looks all good. Jim's friend fitted a SS Cat back since the OEM parts started to corrode, and has been kept in storage since jim is 83 now and unable to drive/is chauffered around. Even though this is my first post, you guys have helped a lot, from me trolling the forums!! Next step is to subscribe.
