  3. nah, im ok. lol. Its the technicians who make me look good buddy.
  4. ....what thats not real?
  5. Agreed. Facebook sucks for parts, I found that out the hard way too when G and M S buggered me over with a broken gearbox!! Never again I'm afraid...its here, reputable places recommended on 'ere or nothing!!
  6. yeah but Im sure thats what he gets paid for....Bet he cant set up a wood working and centre lathe ready for 20 pupils to start spindle turing and metal manufacture like you can though hey!
  7. His photography is awesome.
  8. It so would....Ads have made the internet a real ball ache!!! i am part of a model making site and until you register and sign in you get ads dotted throughout the thread and you cannot see any of the pictures posted. maybe this could be another idea...no pics viewable until you register...i know I need images when looking up stuff about these cars!
  9. I might have been there....
  10. Thats not too bad actually. Thank you for the advice guys. Eagle F1s it is then.
  11. How much are F1s these day mate.
  12. Before swapping the wheels for my current ones, the 19s which were on had conti sports on and thr level of grip was astonishing especially in the wet. I was under the impression that F1s are good but are quite soft and wear quicker...is this still the case? PS thanks for the date stamp idea, wasnt aware of that. will most certainly be looking into that in future, especially as good tyres can be nearly £200 a pop.
  13. I was going to enquire with you guys about new rears as mine are super squirmy at the moment under load. I will look at the Pzeros first I think by the sound of it.

  15. Cheers buddy, i appreciate that. I am really enjoying ownership and you guys have made it even better by being a cracking bunch of knowledgable people. Yours too was a great inspiration, like Funkisi's Zed. One day mine will be great again...hope Lee dent knows what he has got himself into here!!!
  16. After seeing all your cars at the AGM I have now got the bug. As soon as I have got a few other bits sorted, from next year, I am going to start replacing and restoring all thhe parts on the car for as near to new as poss. Makes them look so much nicer. Im still gonna be outlandish as always but the inspiration to find genuine parts, like starter motors and such like where possible may have bitten me... good call
  17. Always best to investigate. I found out a bit about my car from this forum AFTER purchase and found that the last owner was lying to me.
  18. Since buying mine, at least 10 better ones turned up for the same money since the end of last year...oh well, I still love her though.
  19. Even though your standards are much higher Si, you are right. Since buying mine for 5K most have either been around this for an ok one or about 8-10K for a good one. May need to save a little more. My advice would be not to buy the first one you see like myself....I learnt the hard way. 5K later on top of buying and she is starting to be a great car but decided I had to buy because I travelled so far, big mistake. If you have travelled far and its trash walk away because it could cost you thousands in the long run, like mine has. If travelling around costs you say £500 to see a good handful, surely thats better than 5K to make one drivable and all because the previous owner was a drifter or idiot and never looked after the car properly...maintenece first and then the fun bits...Fish cost me 2K in mainteneance first, although the previous owner said it had wanted for nothing...liar, and then fun has cost me about 3K, and she is still not perfect, far from it. Needs about £1500 on bodywork and about another grand on bits...not a cheap hobby. If you cannot save up a touch more or are not willing to travel or cannot aford the above, this might not be the car for you because 3-4K will not buy a perfect example. IMHO only!
  20. Hi all, as previous to my last coffee and cars, Great escape cars are holding another thsi coming Sunday. From 9am till about 12pm a huge selection of vehicles will be in attendance. See other posts and images for more details. The last one I went to was amazing...hotrods, classic fords, ferrari, cobras, jensens, Lambos, corvette, JAP specails etc. Always a good turn out, usually around 2/300. Free entrance, plenty of parking. If you are interested let me know for further details or look at the poster in one of my other threads in this section. Steve
