  1. As title people, any other info needed just ask. Money waiting.
  2. right then, located MAF, throttle sensor and temp and all seemed ok. Gave them and clean, dry refit and she now idles great. Will take her out and see what happens after that. Next up will ne the ECU code. It still clicked loudly when trying to start for the first time, so I removed the key, reinserted and then she fired up no issues, several times after. Checked the battery and all seems fine again. Ill try again tomorrow when I do the ecu check.
  3. Looks a little complicated (ish) as I have not done this sort of thing before but ill also give this a try when I have had a fiddle with the other few elements first. Thank you so much for this Jeff, most useful.
  4. Cheers Jeff...Ill add them points to the check list.
  5. Hi all, hopefully someone can help. I have searched and have a few ideas but just want to see whether there are any new fresh ideas from what I have read. On the way back out of London yesterday I noticed that when in gear it was idling a little high...but more strangely when I put it into N or P it rose to nearly 3000rpm, which made changing into gear somewhat sudden. I pulled over, revved a little and it fell down to under 1000 when idling but later it happened again. Not sure whether the next issue has anything to do with it, but I took it to get washed and when tried starting her again after pulling up (not had any water on her at this point) it wouldn't start but instead made a loud clicking noise instead....ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!! I switched off, removed key, plugged in and she started again, no clicking. Then after the wash all was cool until I got back home and it was idling high again as above. Things I am going to check include, temp sensor at the front, MAF is clean and dry (lots of rain yesterday and today) and that all connections are cool. Anything else would be great. Thank you in advance. Steve
  6. Right then, now that I have had my first meet with you guys and gals, which was ace! Its time to promote my first event which is next month. All the details and info is on the sign up thread, I don't need many for this as its only a small ish event (they have had about 300 cars in the past), would just be nice to see a few from our lot representing. I have not been before but have friends who have and say its great, a good variety of cars on show. Depending on how it goes is dependant on future meets at this place (they have 4 a year). Hope to see a couple of names down for this. I have a couple of family members coming in other classics (supra, Subaru impresa) and so it not just open to your 300's. Cheers.
  7. Thanks buddy, a bit photoshop rushed but gives you an idea.

  13. Cheers guys, appreciate it. 21 again with a few year experience. :innocent:
  14. It happens tho. I had a friend who owned a 15000 mile wide arch rally xsara VTS. Unbelievable car with great spec list but it didn't sell at the Citroen garage who had it built. Long story short it got ragged to hell by all the parts guys, sales people etc. for about 6 years and 10000 miles. Eventually sold it at a £15000 loss to my mate who had so many issues because of the neglect it was untrue. Basic stuff kills most cars no matter the mileage. I owned a Renaultsport once and saw an article written by KTEC racing and they said they would rather buy a sport with 150000 miles on the clock which has been looked after meticulously as apposed to one with 30000 miles and no service history. General idiocy and its everywhere....
  15. Yeah like it will snow round here.....Sure it will be fine. Probably will as I break up from school today.....never when Im at school!
