yellow lines....and the law
My wife gets dissabiltiy and a blue disabled badge. Whilst parked in a disabled zone I got a ticket on my car. I was disgusted when i found the ticket shoved under the wiper blade and went straight to the parking fines office to moan. they said that until the parking warden returns to the office with the photographs they couldnt comment. Eventually the matter was resolved and the fine removed. The reason we got a ticket in the first place is because the blue badge was upside down in the window and the warden deemed this as in correctly displayed. The tw@ should get the sack if you ask me? :headvswal

How can I tell if my Z has been lowered?
It should be evident by just comparing the car with a picture of a non lowered car. If you check my rides my car is lowered if your car looks higher then i would imagine no it hasnt

its an electric thing!
Within the railway enviroment we work about 15 feet from the overhead power supply and that carries 25000volts or there about. we are instructed to not come within 9 feet of it. This "safe distance" is safety standard and is set in "concrete" so to speak. No exceptions. UNLESS..... You are part of the S&T Signal and Telecomms like i am. If we have to maintain a gantry housed signal head or the like that is "caged" we can come within 2 0r 3 feet? I have asked about the safety aspect of this and was told by an OLE engineer (overhead live electrical) that the acctual safe distance is not 9 feet but about 18". The fact that we are inside a cage stops the charge jumping and causing a fatal accident. anything closer than 18" and you are fried meat. THAT video shows the electrical charge jumping or Arcing about 18 feet. FTS.

Hicas removal
Hello chaps. I would like to bend your ears. What advantage do you get from removing the hicas? I have heard a lot of people mentioning this mod. but was thinking that if those little jap men thought it was worth all that research and millions of yen how come so many want it taken away?

An Idea
My £100 is on the table too. Brilliant idea. OK its got some points that need thinking about but in theory spot on. The land would need a good long strong contract and would also need to be kept under close supervision. My only concern is: how long will it be before someone pulls the carpet from under our feet. We cant even have a sensible conversation without someone wanting a fight. My £100 is still on the table though.

I didnt want to start a row i know my reputation but i never wanted to upset dave or you steve its just one of them things i feel strongly about. The law itself is an ar5e when it gets to the courts anyway. the old bill nick people and the courts let them go so where is the problem. at the top? anyway. ill say no more and sit back and wiat for dave to give me an ear bashing now. :D :x:

Policewoman shot!!!!!!! Hmmmmm
Dont get me wrong mate I am no criminal and as far as that is concerned yes I praise the police. But all i said was its the job they do and the risks they agree to take. FFS I would be the first to throw the switch on the fooker that shot her. I detest robbers why can they just get jobs like us all but they dont do they. They rob people and part of a coppers job is to face them. she should and probably will be honoured but her life was no more valuable than mine or yours or anyones. thats what i am trying to say...

Policewoman shot!!!!!!! Hmmmmm
I think you argue for the sake of it dave. You have just taken a thread that is going nice and peaceful and turned it into a slanging match? No one said the police are useless no one said she deserved to be shot in fact everyone has said how sad they feel... what is being said is that why should a police officers life be more important than anyone elses? lighten up mate.

Policewoman shot!!!!!!! Hmmmmm
I will probably end up getting shot for saying this but................ IMO. Ok its really sad that anyone should be or get killed on any day especially her daughters birthday. But! she knew the risks when she took the job on and that being the case it should carry no more weight than if I should be hit by a train or a racing driver killed in a crash even a loilipop crossing attendant getting run down. We do what we do and take the risks attatched to the job. The police do a fine job (sometimes) but the clue is the the sentence (JOB) (excuse the pun)...everyday we risk our lives and the police IMO (again) dont risk their lives everyday protceting us. Nicking us yes. The soldiers that are in a war zone are at the biggest risk again its their job. Sad tho. I feel for her family.................
