I know my last thread was begging for someone to help, but here's another one :thumbup: I have seen another Zed for sale in my price range and wondered if anyone knows of it or is willing to have a little looksie for me? I want to come but need another Zed, can someone lend me theirs?

I have been thinking about this to be honest and am definitely thinking of laughing it off. Maybe I'll just have to wait and save up a bit more till something else comes up. I appreciate all the help everyone has given and offered though!

I am prepared mate, although if its actually been replaced with metal instead of filler then it won't matter as I have a plan (In the voice of Hannibal Smith)

Just spoke to the bloke, it did fail the mot on the inner seals. They are being welded up at the moment and he's going to let me know once he has it back, might be worth taking a magnet to make sure its not just bodged with filler :)

I reckon you may be right mate. Thanks for keep trying, think I'll have to give him a ring to find out what's going on with it.

Did you manage to get a look at the Zed today mate?

Don't know how to solve your issue but it does remind me how much I miss my Zed and something going wrong on a daily basis.

When I have chewed up screws to get out, I put a decent screw driver in and then hit the screwdriver with a hammer a few times...... Its a method that has yet to fail me!

That would be going above and beyond, but I'd feel too cheeky asking. I feel bad enough asking for someone to look at it for me.

I wouldn't bet on it mate, but hopefully they will this time.

I have that feeling too..... Maybe the mot showed up more than they had bargained for, that's why I need someone to have a sniff about it before I drive 3 hours across the country to have a look at a lemon.

Mate any inspection would be great and much appreciated!! I just need to know if it runs properly and not as complete rot box.

Update. I have just had another message from the seller, and he has now said he doesn't have the time to drop it over to Zedworld. So the original plea still stands, would anyone please go and have as look for me if possible? I will happily reimburse you for your time and effort!

I don't actually have his name, but I have mentioned yours. I heard from him again since my last post and he said he'll be in contact with me tomorrow, so I will have to keep you posted. Spoke to the seller and he said he doesn't see any reason not to bring it over for you to have a look. Its is just having/had an mot test today so hopefully all will be fine and over to see you asap. Hope it is alright though as I can't stand driving my shitty little turd box anymore!

This forum has got to be full of the best group of guys and girls this country has the privilege of calling residents! I will ask them jeff, the worst they can say is no mate.

Any one that knows zeds that can look at it for me would be doing me a massive favour!!

I did ask the seller about rust, especially the rear sills, arches and where the rear bumper attaches at the bottom of the arches. Paint work isn't too important as I have specific plans for that :) As long as it runs stops etc. A gearbox diagnostic check would be good if you know how too :)
