One of the reasons that "silly" threads are being locked or moved is that it clutters up the General Discussion area. Imagine if a prospective member had just found this site and was having a browse around, what sort of first impression do you think this sort of crap gives out? To use the bonnet release hole, straighten out a metal coat hanger and tape your wire(s) securely to the tip. Then from the footwell poke the hanger through the bonnet release hole and up and it should appear in the engine bay with a bit of wiggling. You may need to bend the hanger before starting to help with the general upward direction... HTH Steve :)
