You will certainly see a warning light if the alternator stops being driven (eg: belt snaps). Not sure if you would see a warning if the alternator stops generating a charge though... Steve :)

A'pexi is one of the best rated (see Danny at DTA). Regarding your other post re: exhausts... Several members have used Longlife. Custom made, choice of tail pipes, you choose the loudness and the system is guaranteed for the life of the car. There's one in Birmingham as well - details here HTH Steve :)
