The automatic door sensors at garages often set these off. They work on the same microwave frequency as some of the older speed detection devices. Don't forget that many Gatsos are just visual deterents and are not active. Very likely that this one was a dud Steve :)

Have a word with Twinpier - I think he's a debt collector and knows the legal side of things. Alternatively, threaten to raise an invoice from a registered company for the work, tell him it will therefore incur VAT and possibly interest, and court costs etc.. Only time I've ever had a non starter was when the ECU connector was slightly lose. Just pushed the blue connector in firmly and tightened the securing bolt slightly. May be worth a quick check just to make sure... Steve :)
