  1. Merry Christmas all! Hereโ€™s to a great 2026!๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Looks great Rob! Where did you get the bodywork done? CheerZ Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Welcome back Lee. Great to see you're still about and are reawakening your Zed interest! Hope you manage to track down your old car ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. Thanks everyone and apologies for the slow reply! Car is currently with Jimmer and I will be collecting her tomorrow. Watch this space! CheerZ Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
  5. Hi everyone My newly revived zed is currently in Jimmer's capable hands for a 120k service. Unfortunately he's discovered that the aircon compressor had seized and needs to be replaced. He's advised that I have an early style pump with both pipes on the side of the housing (not on the rear like the 93 onwards models). Does anyone have a working compressor, perhaps from from a breaker, that they're willing to part with? I'll need to get it fully reconditioned. Also, can anyone confirm the right part number so that I can be confident I'm sourcing the correct item? CheerZ Steve
  6. Very nice Richard. I take our family down to the New Forest when I can and we often stay in Lyndhurst, Highcliff and New Milton. Lovely part of the world and some great pics ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Glad the weather looked like it stayed fine. I'm planning to be there next year as well! Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Thanks everyone! Great to see some long established members are still around! Catch you all soon
  9. Thanks Andrew - was that The Grasshopper, Westerham?
  10. Afternoon all After 12 years off the road (tax disc ran out on 31/07/2013!) I took my zed to our local MOT tester this morning. Pleased to report that she passed with no advisories! I was present for the test and had a chance to inspect the car when she was on the ramps. All looks tidy and is a testament to my weather tight garage! Renewed the tax and took her off SORN as soon as I got home. Next job is a proper service and possibly a 120K service and more thorough health check. Big thanks to AndrewG for running a Conzult check for me (I couldn't find my cable anywhere!) Hope to see you all at a meet soon! CheerZ Steve
  11. Belated best wished bud!
  12. Found this 25 year old magazine while clearing out my office over the weekend. Thought it may be of interest.. CheerZ Steve ๐Ÿ™‚ 300ZX Parkers Car Chooser - Buyers Guide - October 1999.pdf
  13. Update - left it for a while and pumped the clutch repeatedly to get the pressure back up. Now changing into all gears again ๐Ÿฅฐ Next job is to swap out the instrument cluster for a new one and prep it for an MOT. Then I'll just need to remember how to drive a manual again! ๐Ÿ˜‚ CheerZ Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Happy Friday all! I've finally started work on my Zed! It has sat in my garage since 2013 with only a couple of engine warm ups. The last time I turned her over was July 2023 when I discovered that my braided fuel lines had started to perish and were pissing fuel all over the engine bay. Fuel lines have now been replaced along with a new battery, oil, coolant and fuel. Pleased to report she's now starting up and idling fairly well. However, I went to move her out of the garage for the first time today and was unable to engage reverse gear. Clutch pedal feels ok but there's more travel than I remember before it hits resistance. I've found that I can get the car in gear with the engine off, but not when it's running. An RPS Twin turbo MAX Street Clutch was fitted around 800 miles ago (in 2009!). Assuming this points to slave cylinder, but would welcome any suggestions before I start heading off down a blind alley! CheerZ Steve ๐Ÿ™‚
