Hi Use wd40 around the edges of the old ones to make them slightly easier to pull off. Also make sure you put the clips back on the right way round so you can get to them. I used a jubilee clip and put it on the wrong way round so I could not get to it with the screw driver/socket. Had to take it off and do it again!!!. Also the pipes only go one way the ends are different diameters.
  3. could it not be a late model tt? They had no boost gauge.

  12. Finally got it sorted. It was the rubber around the bearing that had gone with the heat and age. Bearing itself was fine.
  13. Good luck mate, hope everything turns out ok for you both.
  14. Cheers for advice. I have the bits already, so i will see how it goes. The drive shaft went straight away without warning and i havnt driven the car much while it was like this so hopefully they will be ok.

  19. Hi Started by having a squeaking sound coming from under auto box lever. This went away and then I could feel knocking coming up through the seat and arm rest. Funny thing is as soon as I felt this knocking the car stalled and my radio/ cd player blew up!!!. Car started first time and all was well apart from this knocking. It seems to happen when pulling off and then stops. It has got gradually worse and sometimes knocks at speed. The squeaking noise has returned. I am thinking it must be the drive shaft centre bearing but cannot see as exhaust and shield is in the way. Hence the knocking under seat and squeaking of a failed bearing. Could it be anything else before I buy the centre bearing and rear gearbox mount? Will it do any/much damage if I use the car? Don’t have a clue why this would make my radio blow up!! must just be a coincidence. Any advice appreciated Cheers Paul
