Hi mate, no its not a daft question, yes its the thing below the stereo where I used to have just an open faced tray, I now have a sprung lid tray. Basically you can put valuables in it etc and the lid just closes over it and hides it, it also looks a bit nicer IMO. ;) Here is a better pic on another members car:

The paint on my rears seems a lot thicker than the paint on the front indicators.?? There must be different types out there.
