I have used that contact adhesive and as you say its very hard to get on with the mainn reason was because I was not waiting long enough before trying to stick the surfaces together. It says on the back spray the stuff on both surfaces then wait 10 mins or so untill tacky before sticking the surfaces together. I did this and it was excellent stuff but the secret is to wait for the stuff to almost dry. HTH

He was only going to give me a few hours to raise the money before they towed it to an impound lot in Bristol where it would have cost me a lot more to get it back. :( :cry: And as this happened at 11.44 am I would have to cut it off in daylight.

The bloke who clamped my car also looked like he does door work as well :( And the clamp he used was a Heavy duty jobby not a chain type one. :( Hardened steel.

Also the time it took him to take it off is about the time it took me to get the cash out, which suggests he was parked somewhere waiting and clamped me as soon as he saw me walk off.
