  1. Wow judging by the responses I was lucky to find mine so quick!! Tbh if you want the tt I don't think your gonna find a decent manual car for 2.5k you should be able to find a good rust free auto for that though. The thing with owning these cars is, And I'm not trying to put you off coz I absolutely love mine, but if you buy a cheap one it will cost a small fortune to fix for example mine has just cost 1700 to put right (mainly due to poor workmanship by a previous mechanic) and I didn't even think there was anything wrong with it!! They hide problems very well because they are so reliable if you know what I mean, they just keep going, mine had boost leaks, cambelt put on a tooth out, timing at 7 degrees advanced just to name a few and it still felt great All I'm saying is spend the right money THIS side of the process and not later on when something goes drastically wrong
  2. Nice one cheers mate ill join up and see if he's interested
  3. I had a similar problem in my old prelude, as mark says put the stock fpr back on until you can get it to a dyno and check fueling
  4. Gotta be worth a go couldn't tell you how it would perform on normal road tyres as I've only ever seen it used on r888 and a048's
  5. It's good but it drastically shortens the life of the tyre you find that if you drive on the track you'll find the rubber actually getting pushed toward the sidewalls were it overheard and melts, I wouldn't recommend road use as the Tyre would pick up stones/pebbles etc and wouldn't last long, it also takes the predictability out of the tyre that the manufacturers build in, so you get loads of grip but if you push to hard they will let go in a big way
  6. Worth the wait that kit looks sweet!!
  7. Looks interesting nice to see someone trying something new, probably gonna be a bit of a marmite car but I reckon it'll look pretty good when it's done
  8. I was the same when I bought mine, but it's definitely one of the best auto boxes I've driven, obviously it's not the same as a manual but I do a lot of driving in the firms van (22k last year) and it's nice to get in and let the car do all the work for you. Try it you might like it
  9. Oh mine doesn't have one of those I've got a navan shifter, not sure then about the fault sorry
  10. You can usually pick up a manual conversion kit for around the 500-600 mark but I've heard the conversion CAN be a pain if you've not got access to a lift or pit and would take upwards of a full day to complete, not trying to put you off its probably worth a go tbh but I'd rather save and get jeff to do it lol
  11. I think zedworld charge 1600 for the full manual conversion, which if you have the cash I'd recommend because you get a full guarantee with it. Not sure about the hicas could be as cheap as a hose or as expensive as a seal meaning a new unit, as you say without seeing the leak its difficult to diagnose
  12. I'd say that's correct, it shouldn't go into reverse without pressing the button on the gear leaver
  13. Well I'll make my mind up when I get the car back from jeff as it's never been right in my ownership so I've got no bench mark really lol
  14. Hmmm might be something to look into then cheers fella
  15. Yes that'd be me it's my grandads car, do you know some one who might be interested?
  16. Neither did I mate and tbh I may well have fallen for that one because I do tend to just click on the email link from Paypal.... Won't be doing that anymore!! So thanks everyone, you guys could well of saved me a fortune :thumbup:
  17. I doubt many will be interested but I take it all back about the hicas, turns out this was probably caused by badly worn hicas ball joints jeffs changed them now so happy days!! Just Can't wait to pick the car up next weekend should feel like a completely different car!!!
  18. Well I'm glad everyone seems to think it's a scam I was thinking it was just me being skeptical lol
  19. Nice!!!! I only ever seem to find more problems lol
  20. I don't know about but she feedback he's just emailed me direct so can't check, seems fully dodgey to me
  21. Cheers for the help people I think I'll give this guy a wide berth
  22. I'm not sure what he's hoping to gain out of me but I'd say your spot on ill just ignore him, why can't selling things just be simple!!! Lol
  23. Told him to go through ebay and now he wants my PayPal email to transfer the funds hmmmmm
  24. Weird, what do they plan to get out of it? Or are they just trying to annoy people?
