Right the restore of my barn find Zed is going well, I hope to be on the road by late September but I'm sure something will pop up!!!! I'm planning a full re-spray in the standard UK black so a couple of questions: Is the black on a UK car anything special or just plane old black? What should I expect to pay, I will be stripping everything off for the body shop removing lights ECT. Has anyone any advice and what have you paid for this to be done. Any advice would be very welcome. Daz.

I have put this up on a few sites now, 100000 signatures forces the goverment to debate the cost it might go no where but it let's them know what we think of the cost of fuel on us. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/347 Daz.

Open Kadet or Chevette at TOTB with what I think was a 2.2 turbo in it with the rat look, went well!!!! A freind of mine is building a Ford Anglia with a ZX TT in it!!! I will dig a picture out.

Found a Jap Z in a breakers getting the full details on Monday but so far it has a manuel box perfect for a conversion and HKS coil overs for £300. Anyone interested no good to me because I'm doing a standard restore? Daz.

I'm there with the Subaru which should be reliable and would more than happily help and who knows maybe with my Z, just need to sort the sill and then suspension and tyres and we have a runner the rest can be done as and when, I hope!!! LOL Pete and Bob have seen what I build and work on, well one of them!!!

The plan with my Zed is too leave it as standard as possible to the UK car apart from stainless exhausts so might not be quite as quick as yours mate!!!! LOL We hope to have the Subaru out again for the start of next month now and my Zed on the road about the same time if I can get the bits for the right money???!!!! Maybe see you at another event when we all don’t have so much on?

great to meet you guys I was going to ask if you were members of the club but then we all got very busy and then you got off before I could say buy and then our engine let go!!!! One of those days and too hot for turbo engines as well.

Think I met you Bob I was working on the green 22b next to you admiring your 300ZX I was the guy with the barn find black one I spoke to you about. It was the first time we had ever moved the car in anger and finished 10th in the handling and did an 11:04 quarter but he missed a gear which resulted in the bottom end failing at 170mph!!!!!! Good weekend though and if it was your White Z I love that car its so well prepared. Daz.

Crap don’t bother my wife had a 51 plate 3 years old nothing but trouble!!!! Battery goes flat all the time for no reason this is a common fault as we knew 3 other people with them that had the same issue. Alarm goes off for no reason while driving happened on the others we knew. Clutches go after 50000, engine out and cost a fortune, parts are mega bucks. Suspension issues, springs snapping. ******* to work on as well as the engine is leant back under the car. Apart from that they are great!!!!! Daz.:no:

Anyone paid for a decent re-spray, what we talking price wise and anyone who you recommend? Also is the UK black a flat colour or anything special I should know about?

Not doing a lot next week as we are finishing the impreza for TOTB and the the Mazda Touring car but after that it's all steam ahead and get the sill stripped down to see what I need and then cam belt kit water pump and some tyres then an MOT!!! That's all!!!
