500bhp for how much? Is a Zed really that much of a bargain?
Z32bolt has pretty much covered it there, the other expensive part is if you can't do the work yourself then fitting cost of said parts can soon mount up to thousands alone depending where you take it to
-
anyone on here running 500bhp
That's quiet a big variation in numbers across the cylinders, I think your allowed about 10% difference between cylinder iirc Do the lower numbers come up if your pour a little oil into the cylinder? Yep 150 across all six is a decent result

injectors ?
Not sure if he would fit them or not, but yes you'd need a chip to bear to drive the car once the injectors are fitted, or you could fit them and trailer it to noël then he would just map it with them injectors on

How To- Subframe Bushes
No worries buddy maybe sticky it so easier to find?

How To- Subframe Bushes
This is it knocked out Then all you do is clean it up and knock the solid bushes in And that's how it sits in, this subframe will now be shot blasted and powder coated then ill properly fit all the solid bushes Hope you find this helpful if you want any more info drop me a pm Paul

How To- Subframe Bushes
Now there's abit more to the solid bushes as these are the ones I'm fitting ill show you more So for the solid bushes you don't need to drill out the centre all you need is a 48mm socket and large hammer aswell as a blow torch So flip the subframe over warm up the subframe where the bush sits, get your socket and place over, take a large hammer and start to knock out You can see the outer collar start to move out

How To- Subframe Bushes
This is how it looks with the centre out Next you need to take a screwdriver and knock the inner collar out This is the one you need to remove for poly bushes Flip the subframe I've and cut where I've put the ones This allows the inner collar to come out Here you can clearly see the inner and outer Once you've removed that inner collar you can press in the new poly bush

How To- Subframe Bushes
Ok so I've not seen a write up for this so I thought I'd do one to show just how easy it is, I think this is one of the most overlooked things I can make a real difference when replaced, This will show how to do polybushes and solid bushes. Tools needed Drill Heavy hammer Screw driver Pry bar Blow torch 48mm socket Ok so here you can see the original bush there's an inner and outer collar, The arrow and circle shows the inner bush, this is the one you need to remove when replacing with poly bushes Firstly remove the strips of rubber from each side Ok so I don't burn the old bush out I drill them, get your drill and go round the bush top and bottom this only takes a few min Top Bottom Once you've gone all the way round get a pry bar and wiggle the centre out PLEASE DONT POST UNTIL IVE POSTED IT ALL UP

Regret!!!!
Hmmm I've regretted selling a few cars now, I often wonder if there still going, nothing worse than the feeling of wanting one back

Water injection
It's basically a very fine mist of water and meth that's sprayed into the inlet, this gives a richer mix more than standard fuel, meth is highly volatile so give great force in the combustion chambers, it will allow to use more boost more safely when set up correctly There's a vid explaining

mazda rx7
They can have engine problems depending on how they've been looked after, if they've been rebuilt ect, you'd be better buying one that's already been rebuilt by someone like Hayward rotaries, if not they charge around 3k for a rebuild, They really need looking after warmed up properly Also just changing the exhaust can cause them to run lean so if it's had any mods it will need to have been mapped to suit, If your wanting more power porting them is a must really, Street ports or bridge port are the ones to go for Also get a compression test done on the car you go to look at tells a lot on these engines Make sure you get the engines hot, turn it off and make sure it starts on the button from hot, this is a must as if it doesn't more than likely is a tired engine
-
injectors ?
Yep your car wouldn't run properly if you just fitted the injectors without a chip or remap, Noel could make you up a general chip for the spec you want but it would be much more worth while to have it remapped

Tme Attack Brands Hatch. The final blast for 2013
I can't believe it took me so long to go to an event, I think more members should come along next year and get a real feel for it, you'll never look back lol I was like you though z32bolt always something comes up when you plan to go, pain in the arse lol I can't wait for next season now,

injectors ?
No worries dude least he has an idea now :)
-
injectors ?
That's why I said depending hp wanted and just gave a rough example, 550 or 555 should be fine for most people
-
injectors ?
Depends on the power your aiming for 550cc are a good upgrade but if your wanting more than 500hp you might want to go for something like 600's or even 720's Jecs are good option cheap but not cheap like say venom, if you want sard, PE or anything like that there a lot more money
-
anyone on here running 500bhp
If you want 500hp and don't want to rebuild the engine the first thing I would do is a compression test just to give you an idea of the health of the engine then Full 3in exhaust including elbows no cats 2.5in intake piping I'd personally go for something like the dual pop intake Intercoolers or front mount Spark plugs At least 550cc injectors Turbo upgrade Bigger rad And proper Remap Also other things to consider are things like deleting a few things, cambelt if not been done, then just general service items like fuel filter ect, If your not doing the work yourself I'd budget a good few grand

We were talking about this at the weekend there seems to be only a handful of people that are really into the Motorsport/track day side of things, I'm glad I could of helped out and was nice to get a feel of the event, next year I'd like to help out again in which ever way possible, and also over the winter months build my own track ready zed :)

Tme Attack Brands Hatch. The final blast for 2013
This was a really good day, nice to be part of Bobs team, and was also nice to have Mikey there aswell, Not a bad result in the end 3rd over all, with some great action on the day, bob was pushing hard in the final session, which looked great from track side, Nice to see bob and James finish the day all in one piece
