  1. Ok so I'm in the process of fitting the new belt, on the belts they have yellow lines on so you know the dot on the camshaft wheel lines up with the dot on the back plate for some reason my line is always a tooth out even though the dots line up as I'll show in a pic As you can see here the yellow line on the left cam wheel lines up but the one on the right is a tooth out but you can see the two white dots line up And again here Also can't seem to get the belt on the auto tensioner as its to tight for some reason Please help as its now really winding me up

  3. sorry no just meant all the old parts are off and all pulleys and crank lined up, as said in first post bought 64k timing belt kit new belt tensioner water pump ect ect so all new parts going on
  4. yep got them all lined up the old belt, tensioner, water pump ect are all off, should have it all re fitted tomorrow morning
  5. cheers dude just looked at the 300 manual and it makes it sound alot harder than it is, ive done loads of cambelts just not one on a 300 so thought id check first
  6. when fitting the cambelt do you guys use the push pull tool on the auto tensioner or do you just check all by hand?
  7. Cool I'll use that then and sealant for thermostat housing ect
  8. The old one had sealant on and no paper gasket, so not sure what to use as I know some people bin the paper type gaskets and just use silicone sealant
  9. I've bought a genuine nissan 64k timing belt kit with water pump ect and the water pump has come with a gasket
  10. Hi do you guys use the standard Nissan paper gaskets for the water pump or the Red sealent stuff? Also what's the red sealent called that you use around the thermostat housing ect, can't for the life of me remember what it's called Paul

Here's one for you people good with bodywork, Ok so the guy who had my car before me resprayed the car in Nissan diamond white it's generally a good job but in some places its abit orange peelie, Is there anything I can do to get a better smoother finish all over, he painted abit thin only using 2ltr to do the whole car so thinned down quite abit

  16. well not really got much done got the engine bay sprayed the same colour as the car as it was red before, not the best finish in the world And zinc primered and sprayed the diff Got a few new parts arrived aswell so will be fitting these soon

  20. Oh yea I'd definatly say I'm English, and I don't blame Murray for reminding everyone, we just need a good English man now in the tennis, Some of the English women's tennis players are starting to look promising

  22. I've always used a decent sized u clamp normally alway get the piston moving
