ChrisC at least you did not drive off and leave it for others to run over. Bloody big thing to hit though, and at least no one was hurt. Hugs and kisses Wendy

WHOOOOOOOO! new insurance quote;)
Mac that is a brilliant quote, me thinks when Rob's is due we might have to visit this place, many thanks in advance. P.S. if I am still driving it I think it would only be fair if I insured it, but don't tell him I said so. Hugs and kisses Wendy

Police- over the top!!!!!
OK, if you want to fine people for bad driving why not start with the BMW t@t driver who is in the right hand lane and is indicating to turn right at a three lane island, and then just pulls out and goes left infront of two other cars with children in, this was done at the hieght of rush hour. Then you have the men who drive without indicators and no seat belt (I know some women do it too) because they have one finger buried up their nose to the first knuckle and in the other hand they are holding their mobile, god knows how they steer their cars or what they are using to do this:D :D , but it is bloody dangerous. Where are the police when these pratts are on the road, and I see this daily. Number plates should be recognisable by everyone just incase something should happen, but if we were all the same in the world it would be a boring place. Hugs and kisses Wendy

Realistic Top end - whacha got?
Just had a look at that pic, it looks like that has 35mph/1000rpm. Reading Autosports review fron 16 May 1990 :p the manual g/box has 25.7mph/1000rpm. So I reckon it is an auto... Robert.

Realistic Top end - whacha got?
Hi Rod Dude!! :D This is the full piccy... But I have to say it is not my Z, and I have no idea who's it is :( The fastest I have been in my Z is 140, and it was still pulling despite clutch slipping a bit  oh well.....A new clutch, de-cat pipes and some Hyper Performance intercoolers should make it a bit more enthusiastic to get to the 155 limiter. Theoretically, a manual gearbox car can reach 200mph in 5th at 7,782rpm ;) :p but surely you must have 500+hp and a revised rev limit. What about the auto? What rpm does that hit 200mph? less than 7200? i.e. stock rev limiter? Fast Eddie.....what kind of HP you got to get 170 odd mph??? Thanks in advance all... Robert

Do you let your bitch dive the car?
Wooo.....What a man...Importing his wife as well as his car... ;) ;) I have got that right, haven't i?? :p :p Robert.

Fuel
LRP as opposed to 'normal' unleaded? Or 4 star...?? Err..LOL...getting confused now LOL...
-
Fuel
No...other way around. LRP/4 star burns cooler than Unleaded.
-
Fuel
Yes, I think that this fuel attackes the catalytic convertors making them ineffective. But I know that old leaded 4 star was 99 octane or something?? Maybe this LRP is near to it too??? Robert.

Rollcall: Auto/Manual?
UK TT Manual for me... I like being in control of my car, so I sought out a manual gearbox version. This is one reason why I don't think I could ever get along with an auto. Do you auto guys ever get suprised by your box once in a while changing gear when you did not expect it? Just a question, would like to know honest answers to that one. Also, I dislike the idea of it's mechanical inefficiency. What are the drivetrain losses for auto 'boxes? Maybe 20% or more? I dunno, this is just a guess. Synchromesh manual gearboxes are still RELATIVELY inefficient at 15%~20% (guess) than a straight cut dog engagement box, which if lubricated with a spray/mist (not soaked in oil like std manual boxes) can achieve UNDER 5% drivetrain losses. Now that is a nice chunk of extra power that will reach the wheels, oh, and while you are at it, go for the sequential flat-change shift option....... Now where is that spare £6,000....LOL...... :D :D :D :D Robert.

Latz is da man, well done !

Try this...it's FREAKY.....
OUT TO DINNER MATHEMATICS This is pretty neat how it works out. DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST It takes less than a minute....... Work this out as you read. Don't cheat and read the bottom until you've worked through it! This is fun! 1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold) 3. Add 5. (for Sunday) 4. Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the calculator................ 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1753.... If you haven't, add 1752.......... 6.. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number .. The first digit of this was your original number (I.e., how many times you want to have eat out each week.) The next two numbers are... YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!) THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2003) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. IMPRESSIVE, ISN'T IT?
