  1. Had one of these for AGES now. No time whatsoever to put it together. Best advice is to paint each part first, just pick the first colour on the list, and paint each part that needs it, then 2nd colour etc...... Leave it in the moulding backing, paint everything on there. then (when they are dry :mac1: ) cut them out, tidy up the ends and touch up. All parts will look real good. For any large area use an airbrush and spray it. I have this model (amongst many others). The underside is painted silver. If you brush painted it, it would look horrid and stripey, but airbrushed it looks awesome. HTH. Rob. Edit, 1 more thing. Take your time, do not rush it. You will only fook it up and think damn, wish I had made a better job of that :( :(
  2. 17 pages???? owf... lot of reading. He should have given up first time on nemesis. I do all the work on my Z myself to stop this exact type of slanging match. "He fitted it wrong" "No I didn't, it was rubbish parts" etc. If my Z goes wrong, buck stops at me cause it is my fault. end of story. Feel bad for him though, must be a horrible feeling having it in your mind "when is my engine going to go bang next?" :( :( :(
  3. Holy Mother of God Eric........................ Why did Nissan not build that 14 years ago??? Video HERE as original link not working. And omg it sounds soooooo sexy. John and Leigh, I hope 2 tubs accidentally find their way into your motors as well... hehehehe :D  Found these too..... http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=95199#991427 http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/dosearch.php http://www.automotiveforums.com/t336940.html HTH. Rob.
  4. Cool!!! :D :D was lost without suprnova...lol Anyone seen that KartVader on any torrent sites at all??
  5. I had a Fuji Finepix 2800 until late summer this year when we were burgled and the weigh-anchors stole it :( :( I was seriously impressed with picture quality from it, and looking at either S5500 or S7000 as a replacement for it. Don't think I would swap from Fuji for a while yet. Have you seen all those telephoto lenses for the finepix series cameras? Anyone know if they are any good at all?? Rob.
  6. Much easier than removing the engine :D :D Sorry, lol, just read your other post :D :D Rob
  7. Nice one. Makes perfect sense. ;) :D As I thought, to aid cutting. Thanks.
  8. Andy? What's the WD40 for? reducing aluminium dust? or easier cutting??
  9. Bad luck on the head gasket mate :( :( :( Not sure how h/g and crankshaft bearing faliure can be linked though??
  10. Ok, another drawing, now I have shown a segment of the 25mm rad. The length of this rad is 26.1799mm. 6 of these add up too 157.0794mm for the circumference. The circumference of the 50mm diameter circle is 3.14159*50=157.0795 so quite close to the AutoCAD maths. LOL, I have never been to college or university of any kind, but just learned exactly what i needed to know for my job. Take care. Rob.
  11. OK you made me bust out AutoCAD. ;) :p You will find this drawing is way too overdimensioned, but that is to show the true accuracy of the method. You are basically creating 6 equal triangles. I am a toolmaker by trade and we have used this method for eons now. HTH. Robert. Edit... LOL can you tell I haven't had a drink yet??? :D :D
  12. Merry Christmas too you all.........hope you all have a great year and that you all get excellent goodies for your shed's...............hugs and kisses Wendy and Robert     :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
  13. Don't forget, you are striking a chord, not 'following' that segment of arc. the chord is shorter than the arc, hence it fits exactly 6 times. Might do an AutoCAD drawing if i can be bothered to install it on this pc
  14. Another local Zedder then Yamp...lol I live in Halesowen, red zed tt, off the road at the mo, hopefully bump into you sometime in the new year when it's up and running again :D
  15. If you know the diameter/radius of circle and a pair of dividers/compass, set them to the radius. Now place one leg directly on the circle, and scribe the other one through the circle. Take the compass off and place pivot on the line you have just scribed. scribe again. Repeat another 4 times. Now join lines together to triangulate the centre. If all measuring has been accurate (unlike this picture lmfao ) your 3 lines should meet at the same point, the centre!!
  16. awwwwwwww i really wanted to meet her too :(
  17. Edited due to unhelpful comment. :D :duffer:
  18. .............and no i am not post whoreing..........honest........ ;)
  19. ok everyone seems to be having fun with this smilie lol :ttiwwop: so I found some others (from another bb I frequent) that might make it into our list of smilies possibly??
  20. lol :D great stuff. love that bloke. Hopefully going to see him next year when he comes to the uk again.
  21. Well........can't the throttle bodies 'fall off' onto the floor or something? then be put in the bin *ahem ;)* because they were mashed?? lol
  22. Do you have to buy it? I am happy with the standard controller. LOL something i found out myself by accident not so long ago, if you gently press the buttons on the controller it progressively applies that button. i.e. gently press the throttle for part throttle. Squeeze a bit more, you get a few more revs. Is this well known? As i am used to the old PS1 controller buttons which were on or off lol
