LOL scoobys have had flat configuration engines for ages now. that crazy SVX (i think) was a 3.3 flat 6 with a turbo IIRC? looked a complete heap IMO... But that's why they sound so different from all the other four-bangers.

LMAO nail+head. The hardest one for me was the Honda JTC NSX around Suzuka. I think i won that by 0.003 seconds ffs. Took me for ever, and wound me up so much it almost went out the window :p The last one in the Merc around the Nurburgring wasnt that hard, what you have to do is pass the 5th place car on the right hander hairpin just before the Carouselle. Then do not get held up by any of the 4 cars in front of you. any wasted time here and you will loose lol. a good lap will see you pass the first place car on the last right hander before the long straight :p HTH

We bought some 350z parts from Andy and Rob. Unused parts from their 350z drifter. Absolutely top blokes. And his Blue skyline is just plain daft :p He had about 3 getrag gearboxes busted in the stores, lol, i think he also had a dog box somewhere, it might have even been fitted. Isn't that skyline the fastest proddy car in europe over the 1/4 mile??

Well. I believe Quaife do 'semi' straight cut. They are helical cut gears, but only a very slight angle. Purely to cut down on the noise. I guess they are a % or two less efficient, but if it keeps your sanity.......... As Stuart says, a manual gearbox looses about 15%?? I know for a fact (from our local BTCC team) that the Honda Accord Xtrac sequential box was guaranteed to have less than 5% power loss................. So if maccas car is running a conservative 500hp on a syncromesh manual box, he is getting approx 425hp to the ground. Running a sequential box with say 7% losses he is getting 465hp to the ground. All this without any more stress on the engine. Food for thought???? ;)

I have to agree there........ when I started driving 11 years ago, Dogsel was dirt cheap and there were very few CARS powerd by diesel.... Now look at things, massive increase in diesel cars, and a massive increase in diesel fuel duty. Weigh Anchors.......... :xxx:
