  1. Well i will order tose from work tomorrow, anyone got a fitting guide with pics? Ideally like to hide it all out of sight if possible?
  2. Ok firstly apologies for all the questions today, i have a week off coming up and plan on a few days in the garage working on the zed. I have a lockout bar fitted and really want to remove all the gubbins in the bay to clean it up a bit. Now i believe i have to cut a pipe and join it to another one then i can rip out all hicas related bits. Now does anyone have a picture they could point out the 2 pipes i need to join??
  3. Just a quick question, What can i do to have brighter headlights??? They were really poor when i first got the zed, then i fired in some nightbreakers and tbh they are still B******S!!! Any suggestions? is it a common issue?
  4. I can get a hold of rattle cans no issue and really cheap ( work in a factors and get everything at cost ). Will speak to the guy at work plus the guy i think is painting it see what they suggest.
  5. Will speak to the guy at work, he is a painter to trade and his work has graced the front covers of many a mag ( only wish i could convince him to pick up the gun again ). Sadly im up in scotland, so would probs cost more in travel etc. Plus there are a couple of guys up this way that are pretty good and not too bad on cost. Was just a thought as i would like to tackle a few things but im no expert so will take me time to get it right. Least that way if its satin black it looks not too bad if i go for a drive etc.
  6. Ok, been thinking that since the 300 is in need of paint and i have a few ideas i want to try out that i would start prepping the car. Now my idea was just to do what needs to be done and primer it, but since it's gonna be maybe after xmas before i have the cash for a respray i thought i could use satin black which i can get from work cheap as chips. Now this would defo only be a temp job so i can get any imperfections sorted and also do a few mods while im at it. Question is if i use satin black and spray the whole car when it comes to the full respray ( done by a pro ) will it just be a case of keying up the satin black or will it react with the paint going on top? Cheers in advance
  7. I got archery, though when i hit my target weight id be either a rower or a swimmer.
  8. have a look at mine in the for sale section!! ( shameless plug :blushing: )
  9. Ok folks, I have my 300zx up for sale at the minute. Now have had the usual time wasters etc ( not on here ) but other than that not much else. Now am i asking to much for it or is the market just not there at the moment? any advise gratefully recieved. Only selling as we are buying a new house and need to free up some funds. Below is a link to my for sale thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?162114-92-300zx-TT-with-48k Cheers in advance

  11. Sounds easy enough then, although im sure the zed will try it's best to make it as hard as possible.
  12. Well decided im going to freshen up the wiper arms and windscreen cowling, now having realised that there is almost no job i do on the zed that is easy i thought i better check how to remove the cowling? So is it like all other jobs on a zed or is it as easy as it should be?
  13. Yeah everything will be double and triple checked by someone far more qualified than me to determine all is as it seems. Even though he is a mate of mine and if it goes ahead i will be employing his brother i will not just buy it on a whim. It's a strange one as i planned to look at my own business in about 5-10 years time but i know this place very well, the location is superb and they have a great reputation already, and with plenty of scope for expansion.
  14. Ok, I have been offered the chance to buy a limited company ( garage ). Now i already have a job ( motor factor ) and if i was to go ahead with this i would want to stay in my current employment. Now how would this work tax wise? I believe as long as i am only down as a shareholder and pay myself through dividends this is ok? I would plan to have my other half as a director and drawing a salary ( albeit a small one ). sorry for what seems like complete newbie questions but just want some others opinions as i think i understand. Of course if anyone sees any flaws in this please feel free to say. Cheers in advance
  15. Seen a black zed this morning at the roundabout outside inch vw. Looked very clean, anyone on here?
  16. Rather than use euro's site try Carparts4less.co.uk they are £26 inc vat. Oh and it is euro in disguise!!!! I know i used to work for them, most things are cheaper by a fair bit.
  17. Thanks, i have a lock out bar fitted so i presume i can rip all that out now?
  18. Hi, going to make a start on my engine bay over the coming weeks and the first thing i will look to move is the fuse box. Now where does everyone move them to? and is there a write up with pics anywhere? Also on the opposite side what is everything on the inner wing?? oh and any tips on where to move all that to as well would be great Cheers in advance
  19. Just noticed these for sale: http://www.driftworks.com/forum/wheels-tyres-sale-private-sales/180502-work-equips-18x10j-et22-18x-11j-et-24-5x114-3-a.html Those 10's would be perfect for the front of yours!! You could then sell on the 11's + 9's as a set.
  20. To get it sitting right it really is just trial and error. My car history is all VW/Audi and that is all about stance etc. Already know the exact spec of wheels i want for the zed to have it sit right ( just need to find the right wheels now!! ) I wont be going with additional arches right enough, doesnt really suit the red of my car. Yours on the other hand they look perfect for.
  21. Get the arches on and dial in the stance!! that will look epic! reckon 10mm on the front and maybe 15-20mm down on the rear and thats job done. Oh and some camber as previously mentioned.
  22. Weekday for me please. Where we thinking?
  23. What have you done for radio reception now the aerial is gone?? really want to get rid of it off mine.
  24. No, though that would work. The car i am thinking of has rivet on rear arches.
  25. I know of a zed with arches like that, Though he needed massive spacers to fill them.
