  1. I thought I recognised the name mate :) do you have a 300 swell as the s14a then? :)
  2. Insurance halved when bought my 350, and with regards to the 300 comparing to the 350, you've totally missed my point, it was never about the performance, it was never going to keep up with that, meant as an all round, useable, good handling v6, unfortunately, the suspension and sheer size of the 300 just doesn't give the same experience as my 350 did, however, maybe I should have gone for a swb instead of a lwb :)
  3. I've had a 2004 350z and 3 silvias. I'd say it's down to your cars purpose, My silvia was a 330bhp modified jap import, fully tuned suspension etc with the Nissan k's aero (also known as the navan kit) it was excellent fun but a bit crude to drive having fully set up suspension etc....also irregardless of the meticulous servicing and maintenance of the car it still managed to melt a piston.... Both of the gap ones did this, the uk one I had though (what the forums called stage 1 tuned: intercooler enlarged, induction system and exhaust, approx 260bhp) was completely reliable.... They make a lively noise with the right exhaust on too. :) My 350 on the other hand, best car I've had so far! Granted it wasn't quite as fast as the silvia, but much more useable power, much nicer noise, much nicer interior, and much much more economical. The main thing I liked about the 350 was it came with no predetermined view of me (the driver) meaning I could turn up anywhere and it fit in, by that I mean it never felt out of place whether you were at a fancy place or down at the track, Swell as the above points I kept my 350z as book stated, I.e. Nissan say put bridgestone re040s on it, then that's what it had etc and I have to say, the handling was SO much better than the silvia, ultra predictable, smooth when the tail let go, just an awesome car. Now when I spoke to a local tuner he suggested that with an exhaust, Decat and induction kit that a remap would see a 276bhp (2003-2005) hit 340bhp..... Whether that be true or not I dont know but as I say mine had an exhaust and Decat and in a straight quarter mile beat a standard 350 by 2 car lengths consistently.... I'd definitely have the z, happy to give you any more info on either car if you need it. Oh and so you know it unbiased I don't currently have either vehicle, I have my 300 and an s2000. The s2000 tries to kill me in the wet (pre 2004 suspension revamp) and the na 300 just can't compare to the 350z like id hoped it would. So to sum up, my 300 will be sold and I will be getting a 350z again. (though I'll keep the s2000 aswell because the 350z roadsters are ugo!! :)) Sorry for the long post but this is certainly an area I can comment on. hope that helps :)
  4. Get a phone with a hand piece like blades sword then. :)) I still think mobiles are the way forward. :)
  5. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=613823 Googled and found this, not checked the links though....... Good luck!
  6. Cancel land line and use mobile phone instead? If they don't have one then they must be the only people in the world! :D
  7. It's been removed from the mlr forum completely now..... There's another thread with people asking where it's gone though :)
  8. My little Honda made you all look good ha ha. I will however be putting mine on our rollers after the summer for a comparison as all results seemed a bit lower than expected..... I'll keep you posted :)
  9. Setting off in about 30 mins so should roll up around ten, traffic dependant.... :)
  10. Pub grub is always good. :)
  11. Ok cool yeah should be fine to make this then :) gonna be in an s2000 though.... Someone has to have the least power eh? Ha ha :))
  12. Ok well I'll try my best to get there then :)
  13. I'm afraid I'm going to have to give this weekend a miss, the car is in at the garage waiting for a part to sort out prop vibration... :( Only other thing I have is an s2000 but it's completely standard as I just bought it.
  14. There's a guy with a Volvo that's done 450k miles on original everything, it was in a motoring mag a few years back :)
  15. I will be doing my own bit over summer, my cars are getting put away and I will only be using my mountain bike :) It's a shame that a complete boycott of fuel stations cant be arranged as the only way to reduce the cost of something is to eliminate demand.....this obviously brings it's own problems for people who require vehicle travel for their jobs though...... I reckon that's the only way it would work though......
  16. I'm good for the 9th too still :) what time do I need to be there? And again what's the price? :)
  17. Cool! I'll get signed up this month then! :)
  18. Mod 1: Along with coil overs and solid prop soon to be fitted :)
  19. does anyone have any coilovers for sale on here by any chance? or know where i can get some at a good price? :) I've decided to tweak this slightly but also save for a 350 so ideally looking for some second hand parts for this one :)
  20. Either sounds good to me just make sure someone let's me know ha ha :))
  21. As far as I'm aware it's a completely standard na with what I suspect is prop shaft vibration sapping a few horses, considering an all in one prop off here but then wondering whether to order for a tt and get a rear sub frame with LSD...... But on the day in question I imagine entirely standard :) Has a date been decided yet?
  22. I'll attend a July RR day to help drop the price only just got my na so be interesting to see how many ponies have bolted since 94..... Then I can see about getting them back too :))
  23. Cheers! I'll start having a look round :)
