  1. sorry if there has already been discussed about this but I've was looking through twinturbo.net and spotted this. I don't know performance gains it gives if any but i want!
  2. Thanks HollowPoint :) Minor update today, carbon center console:
  3. hahaha.. I'll remember that should I ever get tempted :P
  4. Will do I'll dig them all out when I get home tonight. Ye, its not the best I'll admit but I'm guessing thats why he saved them for the winter. I suppose if your going to do something you might as well do it propperly
  5. I'd need to check at least two are pirelli pzero's, I don't think any of the tyre's are bad, it wasn't an area bazza skimped. tbh if I got 300 - 350 I'd be happy, obviously more would be great but I presume that would cover a sizeable amount of the bill to get my side skirts repainted and blended and let me get them done in the next week or so :)
  6. ye 18s, don't believe they're staggered and in my experience with staggered sets it is usually pretty obvious to the eye. Some have center caps, off the top of my head they say 'trickster' :S they're right at the back of the shed atm with me not planning on using them until winter, so bit hard to go check
  7. Hi, I'm hoping someone could give me some advice. When I bought the car, I had originally planned to use it as a daily drive and bazza was good enough to throw in an extra set of wheels (with a little persuasion :P ) which I had intended to use for the winter. Just over a month later I am smitten and after doing a bit of math it seems daft putting loads of extra miles on her on the tedious drive to work and back, especially given there isn't one opportunity along the way to have a little fun :). With that in mind I've bought myself a little diesel corsa which given our girt is a thirsty lass pays for itself in fuel in 4 months ha and it also means I don't really need the wheels. They're Rays, what model I don't know, quite old and curbed but never the less don't look that bad on the car. I'm not sure what they're worth but all the tyre are also in good nick so must be worth a little for them alone. What should I be asking for them? Also if anyone want's to make me an offer by PM feel free, just to point out the obvious i do have all 4. all funds will be reinvested into the zed :)
  8. no idea what it would cost but i am keen to see the finished result :) ensure pics are put up bud
  9. Well that pretty much clears that up :) cheers yowser! Anyone any ideas on the vent at all too?
  10. hi, ye looking at them on a computer as oppossed to a phone makes it a little easier to see. Feel a bit of a tit not realising the vent was in the wide arch. comparing the two the C2's curve to meet the door edge where as the C1s are a lot more jaggered. Thanks for the help guys. Would i be right in thinking a body shop might be able to replicate that vent when blending the skirts all be it not as deep and distinctive? Can anyone suggest someone who could do that sort of work? I know davezx strongly recomended someone on a previous thread but always good to have a few options
  11. i see.... makes a bit of more sense like that, thank you! I suppose my next question then would be, obviously the indent can be done on jay's as his arches come a lot further forward up to the door. How feasable would it be with my arches only coming half way? Obviously the skirts have been cut where the vent comes out. With that in mind I'm assuming it does make it easier with the C1's but should it also be possable with the C2's I have, given they are pretty much C1's with that bit cut off.
  12. Hi, I'm just toying with photoshop to deicide where to go next with my zed. I think I'm going to stick with veilside skirts as I originally planned. I've already bought Veilside C2's, but having seen the one's on Jay's car I think they would work better. I can't for the life of me work out which ones they are. I know they are smoothed into the strostek sides, so is that where the indent to the rear comes from (because the vent on the C1's is different) and so I'll need to ask the body shop to get their tools on my C2's and arches or is there another set of veilsides I'm missing? Hope Jay doesn't mind me using a pic of his car to demonstrate. and this is what I'm hoping to do:
  13. not to hijack the thread but is there a way to do this yet on a 96+ zed without it throwing up the ecu error codes as it mentions on robos sites and a few other places?
  14. Following that I'm sure everyone should have a good idea of what I've done, not quite finished but nearly there; a few new badges, shiny new exhaust and a spoiler that I had originally planned to paint purple but in all honest love in black. How far shes come already and a few pics of her looking great :) Now as per my original posts and the mock up i did in photoshop I had planned to add some Veilside type 2 style skirts. While i might have already bought them in anticipation with the spoiler now on I'm really loving the car as it is and I'm not sure if the skirts would actually add anything but I would really appreciate a few peoples opinion on this
  15. Well its been a busy weekend and I have to say I'm quite proud :) I'd also like to say a big thanks to Paul (Kinugawa turbo), getting a full catback system to me within 9 hours of sending payment from the other end of the country. Your nothing short of a legend mate :) So, the festivities. I've ditched the idea of going for 99 spec lights, instead I wanted to be a bit different so have tweaked what I already have, along with a few other things to get the back end up to speed. I hope you guys like it, as always, lots of pics: My friend caught in the camera, as you can see Saturday was a long day
  16. Cheers Dave, top timing too, I'm hoping to get stuff on within the next week or so

  18. Ah right, thanks for the heads up, at the end of the day there's no point sacraficing performance and saftey for a bit of bling so maybe a carbon cowling or something else, eitherway it appears I need to do a little more reading
  19. correct me if im been naive but with an uprated rad surely it would be an improvement over the viscous as opposed to detrimental?
  20. I think you've both hit the nail on the head there! The viscous is a little too greedy for space in my opinion so well on the hit list and then a bit of chrome, fuse box in particular i'm hoping should have a dramatic effect on the bay. Priorities for the moment though will be getting the spoiler, skirts and exhaust on :)
  21. The bordom isn't the issue its the dent it leaves in your wallet while you squander the hours on various plans for the zed, is be well off of it wasn't for the free time i get at work ha
  22. Got out to play with the car yesterday and decided to make a bit of headway on tidying the engine up, nothing major but its made a big change in my eyes :) - Relocated the alarm siren from next to the power steering reservoir to behind the NS wing. - Tucked away the wires above the fuse box - Replaced a few screws for some purple/pink ones brian gave me to match the tops of the coilovers. - Finally.... and rather embarrassing that it took me so long to notice this, yet alone anyone prior to me... put the middle part of the strut bar the right way around  Before: After:
  23. Cheers dave, i might be been utterly incompetent here, but i cant seem to find any details for them, you wouldn't happen to have a number would you?
  24. I think it depends on the underwriter, they use three last time i checked, two of which wouldn't touch me but markerstudy was more than happy. as always with insurance its always going to be case by case though and never one company that fits all..
