  1. It was 10.6k actually :o
  2. can anyone recommend a nice-fitting tube for the boot? The one i have is too big and makes it awkward even putting the roof in. My amp is only a blaupunkt 100wx2, but powerful enough for me. I'm not too bothered about massive volume, just something deep and rich at medium levels. cheers.
  3. wha.......?...traders....ads......ahhh,cheers timmy, .....Hey chris, send me over a half dozen clocks will ya, never noticed till timmy mentioned it :D
  4. If it's purely speed you want there are plenty of alternative fast jap cars, but if you want the whole package, looks , equipment , comfort , pedigree and fun, the zeds you're only choice ;) It is a pure drivers car. does have it's vices regarding niggly problems, but most can be sorted easily nowadays quite cheaply.
  5. Looking at you're sig pics ,it does look lower than standard.
  6. Think you need to go back to the eibach shop Legrath :D :headvswal
  7. ....found it... 25.5 inches front, 26 inches rear. And I know they are stock springs.
  8. damn, now i'm curious.....where's me torch
  9. between 9 and 12 at night usually. Time bloody flies when you're on here. And what's this stealth mode about? Are people embarrassed to say they are on here all night? And do they drink whiskey out of a bottle wrapped in a brown bag?
  10. Jesus, that could've been bad. I was only doing 30 when i hit the pothole. Stick in there like I did bud and get what you're entitled to ;) . Strange thing is my tyres never blew either. Hope the damage ain't too bad. Make sure you get a thorough check on the car.
  11. Boddingtons bitter, easy on the stomach, pity I can't get it over here!
  12. Hang on there are 690 odd members on here according to AndyP. Not sure how many of these are subscribed though. you all think i'm a mad Irishman I know but ......Ok forget it . Think it's time I got my coat and went to bed...
  13. I thought there were at least that amount of subscribed members..if not sorry :o just a pipe dream then!
  14. Nope. Think about it ;)
  15. This is a frequently asked question and the last time I replied as always ..everyday driver. But now i'm beginning to use the van during the week as much as possible. I drive approx the same distance as you but after my pothole incident I really want to reduce the mileage i'm doing and keep her clean for the weekends.
  16. Me too, I know it's a crazy idea but if you think about it it's quite possible. Don't think the traders would be impressed though :D . Although it would be in everyones interest. my 100 quid is on the table .C,mon guys roll up!
  17. If your's is red I might have the answer! I am removing my perfectly good spoiler next week as part of the new bodywork. It has no marks or peeling on it whatsoever. I will be selling it on here in a couple of weeks for around £100. So it would be a straightforward replacement for you. I'm also sure it's the newer fibreglass because the boot is so light when you open it. I'll have to wait till it's removed to see. ;)
  18. ok peeps, we all know that with all the sheds hanging about on ebay and autotrader at the moment not only are our cars been devalued but newer members are becoming disallusioned by the reliability and quality of the 300ZX. I have a plan. We need two things 1. A member who owns land or a desent sized lock up. 2 An appointed member that can be trusted. Here is the plan -If five hundred members were to invest a £100 each to a special fund, approx. thirty to fifty used and abused zeds could be snapped up and stored. These in turn could be swopped around a bit to make better cars and sold on to enthusiasts, the money put back into the kitty. The remainder of them broken up and parts available to the investing members. This could be an ongoing thing. Appointed member would have to be paid for their time of course. ;) This would solve three problems................... 1 Remove the bad apples 2 Values may start to rise or at least stabilize. 3 I know there is a no. three I just can't think of it. I haven't been drinking......... a lot......... ;) Ok, Any takers for the Job?
  19. Very true Tim. Unless you find yourself in dire straits financially, anyone with a decent and well looked after 300 keep it. You don't have to drive it.Keep it for another day when you are back on your feet........They won't be making cars like this again . As for the sheds that are about I feel another thread coming on......
  20. AAhh, Understood. ;) It's too much money for a 15 year old car. Some day ken, some day! Best of luck with the Firebird!
  21. yeah, it's blue , it's got tweed, will need a good clean, front spoiler shagged, rear spoilers falling apart (full of water probably) so the boot probably won't stay up either. Mileage is very dodgy, has 10 previous owners............that's what he's told us about.....I think it's a cheek asking that much :x:
  22. Thought you were looking to buy a zed Ken?
  23. Nasty one Greg, hope you get sorted. As it was the same day it's beyond me why they won't just change the time on the policy. Insurance companies. Licenced theives most of them. They should be sitting in the dock not you
  24. Fitted the same one into mine a few weeks back, very easy job. The two black wires are for the o/d, just a matter of snipping and rejoining them. The two red snap connectors that come with it didn't work for me so I just twisted and joined them with some black tape.
