  6. all, Jeff at Zedworld ran a diagnostic for me, it turns out the car is stuck in safety boost due to a failed Dett sensor, its okay to drive just not developing is full power etc, this combined with a failed thermostat is also making the engine run cold and be stuck in in cold mode i.e it is drinking fuel . ive now booked it in for a new cam belt and the other issues will be attended to at the same time. Neil

  8. generally it reads well, just have a final sense check and correct the gramatical context where applicable, ( run it through a word spell and grammar check and it will be fine) . good luck with what you are trying to achieve. if you need any further help drop me a line
  9. thanks i will try that, strange thing is though when i restart the engine it performs really well for miles as i travel home, yet i know when i go to it tomorrow the boost pressure will be down from the get go on the first run of the day until its restarted
  10. Yes Tudor the car did perform differently, when not boosting fully i had 2 thirds off full gauge, when boosting fully it was nigh on at the top of the gauge. yes it is the original gauge .....car starts , runs ( whether boosting fully or not ) well and smoothly, idles absolutely fine etc etc
  11. looking for some advice on a strange fault , 93 300 zx auto tt, driving to work this morning , i noticed when accelerating that my boost pressure was down. pulled up at the tolls turned engine off , paid the reaper , started up set off, again, immidiately noticed full pressure was being achieved. Then this evening headed home and strangely the same again as in couldnot developfull boost pressure ,so again i pulled over , turned the engine off then straight back on , set off a lo and behold had full boost , what on earth is happening and why, any ideas, how can i stop this
  12. thanks ive ordered the kit, i guess the bevel gears are driven by a worm gear, is the gear steel or plastic, can i replace with steel ??? anyone know where i can get the worm drives from ????? or do i not need to worry about them
  13. More help needed, i understand that it is possible to refurbish the adjusters on 300 ZX headlights, ive just tried to re align mine and the rotten things turn but do nothing at all to the headlight beam, can anybody give me a decent procedure on how to Remove the headlights from the car as it seems to be a nightmare job, and where i can buy a decent set of gears to refurb the adjuster units, ( im told Tamiya model gears may work but need a lot more info ) any help very gratefully received thank you Neil
  14. oh, thanks for that, when i looked at them they appeared to be part of the bulb with no way of removing them.
  15. thankyou Groover, any idea where i can get the adaptors from ??????
  16. gents, i now want to improve the high level beam, as you would expect when swapping from dip beam to high the effect is dramatic, white light to yellow, not a good mix, can anybody advise what i should be installing???, should i simply change the type and output of the bulb without going to HID if so, thoughts on Wattage , make , type and supplier etc etc, can i run two bulbs from 1 HID ballast ???? if so where can i get the necessary adaptors and necessary bulbs, the units i put onto the dip were 6000 white lights, it also seems that the low beam goes out when switching to high beam , is this normal ???, thanks
  17. i suspect now that it is being affected by the extreme cold weather, used car over the weekend , no problem with display.
  18. thanks , but does anybody have the alignment process and settings to aim the high and low beams
  19. Okay, i have fitted HID lighting to my 93 nissan, i now realise that the headlight beam alignment is way out, has nybody got some sensible advice on how to set the things up correctly, and where the adjusters are located on the headlamp thanks
  20. any ideas on why the factory fitted LCD clock in my 93 nissan keeps resetting itself to 01:00, its getting to be that every time i get in the car it needs setting to the right time, which it then keeps until the car is next used ...
