26th annual Peak Run 2014
As a previous participant (me 300zx_666) we thought you would like to know about next years PEAK RUN, for classic cars of all makes, which is being held on Sunday 22nd June 2014. In 2013 we once again saw increasing numbers of "RUNNERS" who join us for the whole weekend, so as a result we have reserved the camping field at the Peak Gateway campsite near Ashbourne, which will allow us to spread out. We will enjoy the use of all facilities with exclusive use of the entertainment suite for both Friday and Saturday evening's entertainment. The campsite will be open from 3pm on Thursday 19th June for those wishing to arrive early, and close at noon on Monday 23rd June for those wishing to stay a little longer. On the Friday evening we will be repeating our now established and successful welcome "get together" at the campsite with food and drink available at competitive prices. "Weekend Peak Runners" not just those camping are welcome to join us at Peak Gateway. During the day on Saturday there will be campsite-based activities, and Ashbourne Streetfest is on in the town. Hopefully you will have recovered enough to join us for the "Saturday Night Party Night" for loads of fun and silly games. On Sunday we will embark on the 26th Peak Run itself, starting from the Market Place at Belper and then drive a scenic route through the glorious Peak District to our final destination. There we will vote for "The Peoples Choice" cars, present the Committee's award for the "Car of the Show" and draw the bumper raffle. We may even have some "Silly Prizes". Finishing point yet to be confirmed. Prices for 2014..... A pre-booked weekend package including four nights camping is only £40.00 per car and all it's passangers. The weekend package without accommodation is £17.50. The weekend package with one nights camping is £27.50. The Sunday Peak Run only is £10.00 per car. Please remember that any make of classic car is welcome, so tell your friends! This event is organised by Derwent Valley TSSC the Derbyshire area of the Triumph Sports Six Club. This description of the event is taken from their own mailing. There are official entry forms for this event, so anyone wishing to go please give me a shout and I will organise one for you. Further information can be found on this website: - http://www.derwentvalley-tssc.org.uk This is a fantastic weekend to attend, I have attended in Triumph's and in my Zed. Well worth the effort to get there.

My very first time
I got tugged and breathalised tonight on my way home from Mr. Dent's place.....lol, it was after 11pm. The copper said one of my lights wasn't working, although when he checked again they were both magically working again. Just the excuse to pull me and give me the breath test at this time of year. He mentioned my rear number plate being highly illegal (which it is) but didn't ticket me for it, and was a rather nice officer really, the first words he said " first things first, nice car". Asked the usual if I had been drinking, if I had been in my Astra I would have said yeah and then told him it was tea later on, well it is a stupid question isn't it? Have you had a drink tonight sir? Well of course I have officer, if one didn't drink one would die!!! The best part for me though is when they ask me to join them in their car and I say I can't......pmsl. But I was in the Zed, so had to restrain myself.....as my rear numberplate is highly illegal, my front numberplate is in my front window, and my rear centre panel lights up blue.....lol. My speedo doesn't currently work, and neither does my horn, all these were going to be sorted, but Keith dragged me out on one final run for this Sunday to a cruise by Cruise North Wales in honour of Paul Walker, so I brought her out for one last winter run. Was rather icey on the way home too, so be careful out there.
