  1. Lovely looking 2 mate but from experience with my own NA Rev 4, 17's are just too big and destroy the gearing on the car. When I was running 17's it wouldn't pull 5th gear properly but as soon as I dropped it onto 15's it pulls right the way round to just shy of the rev limiter in 5th at an undisclosed speed lol. It's also handles more like a RWD should and doesn't pendulum as much with the engine in the wrong place!
  2. Was broken down in the girlfriends car in Newton Stewart and went a walk only to find an Immaculate white Turbo zed with a Japspeed exhaust on it. Even better was the fact it was outside a shop called "McGhee's" (My 2nd name), I see this to be fate that I need to find a way of putting mines back on the road this summer!! Anyways, really nice well looked after car whoever you were :)
  3. Cheers Groover, I think I might go through the insurance because I remember when my dad got his replaced he managed to get a blue zone tint as a replacement lol
  4. Quick question guys, I have windscreen cover on my MR2 and it needs replaced, will I lose my no claims if I go through my insurance company (Bell). Hoping I just have to pay the excess and don't lose my no claims :hammer:
  5. I'm searching high and low trying to find a set of 7.5 front 8.5 rear 15" 5x114.3 wheels (not for the Zed obviously lol). Anybody got any clues as to where I'd find some wheels like this? Everybody seems to think 17" is the way forward on my MR2 but I MAJORLY disagree after coming off 17's onto 15's, the car handles 100x better and is a lot quicker through the gears and speed!
  6. AMS as in this AMS?
  7. Any idea where I can get a 71.4 - 66.1 set of spigot rings?
  8. I had an exhaust rattle noise but no heatshield making it, turned out to be the baffles/metal inside the Fujitsubo middle box that were rattling about randomly at low revs :/
  9. Had an ST202 3SGE and can honestly say it's one of the most reliable engines I've had. Stood up to endless amounts of abuse as long as you gave her regular servicing, liked it so much I now have an MR2 with the same engine :)
  10. Anybody on here into weight training by any chance? Needing a good detailed write up on going on a Keto Diet but keep finding the same long winded stuff and not a basic step by step guide :surrender:
  11. Wasn't the idea of all of the parts on a car having a constant charge of some sort tried out years ago, but lead to the car owner getting zapped on a regular basis? lol
  12. I really should know this considering I've had a Celica with the 3S-GE engine and now an MR2 with the same engine lol. I'll guess at 7.9!
  13. Nissan GT-R Silver As it's the only model described as iconic on your site :P
  14. I vented mine to atmosphere no catch tank involved. Running at 14PSI of boost and no sign of pre-detting whatsoever. The thread Silverbullet started is what I went on and altered his ideas to suit my needs. My PCV valves were blocked so the car ran alot better after I by-passed them, I really dont like the idea of my engine getting recycled gases instead of nice clean air :p
  15. When I by-passed my PCV system I used 13mm blue silicone hose mate.
  16. The other half came across this whilst looking for cars and something just doesnt seem quite right here - http://www.penybanc-carcentre.com/used-cars/audi-a1-1-4-tfsi-s-line-3dr-ammanford-201150436143491 So I chcecked out theo ther link and it's only done 300 miles apparently for 7k??!! http://2011a1audi.webcarsuk.co.uk/
  17. I'm with Bell which is owned by Admiral (along with Elephant) they all give me roughly the same quotes. Insurance and the price of fuel combined has forced my Zed into hibernation recently with no signs of it making an appearance until my insurance drops, or I take up drug dealing as a secondary occupation lol
  18. On a good day Nikita, or when she plays up (most of the time) that black wh**e! lol
  19. Insurers just pull figures out their ass IMO. It's apparently cheaper to insure my 1990 TT than it is an NA, I'm looking at roughly £1300 a year for a TT I'm 23 with 2 years NCB.
  20. Sorry I couldn't actually tell you mate they were on it when I got the car and I never measured them. When I took the pads off they were only half in contact with the disc, so all the hype about the braking force being more due to larger disc size etc. fails to take into account only half the pad is in contact with half the disc.
  21. Yea that picture was on my Zed when I got it and I changed them for a set of standard sized drilled and grooved. I reckon theres no difference between the two (on the road that is) but as you say the track might be a different story :)
  22. Personally I wouldn't go for them or all you end up with is this -
