  5. you can get a switch from any auto/electric store with a little red led on it..im the same as you iv got the import..mine has a liitle round switch next to the steering wheel
  6. wee update and im about to cry came home from work today to find the car on the ground dont kow how but it fell off the stands..nearly in tear i dug holes in the garden to my srpiz it landed on the wooden block id put in for back ups no damage to the underside what so ever(lucky or what) anyway after 5 hours of digging n jacking got it back up got it crancking again but no fire..turns out in my rush the fpr was on upside down..feel like an idiot for that on the down side though iv destroyed the side skirts as a result of the digging n jacking friday the 13th eh
  7. right wentout to it today rechecked earths,coil pack spark plugs everthing i can think of and still nothing could the started relay be fookd
  8. that would work but idealy you want to minimise any sort of clamping on the piston due to increasing the chances of damage if you dont know what your doing airs the best and safest way to go if the pistons realy stuck in theyr
  9. if it helps any some of the impreza models use the same calipers..more of them and cheaper.. what years though i cant quite remember
  10. iv gave up on it for today and tomorrow on sunday im gonna hit it again im thinking coz the injector wasnt right that theres tons of fuel in the cylinder so im gona pull the plugs and turn it by hand see if that forces some of it out heres hoping coz im getting sick to the back teeth with it now
  11. sorry just read that properly youll really need to get the hose fittings out..try some fast freeze spray..cant remember the proper name of it but its made by wurth
  12. to get the pistons out you can get a compressor and some wood place the wood between the pistons the place the compressor nozzle into the hole where your brake hose attaches too if one comes out before the others then get somemore wood and jam it in theyr to stop it coming out any further.. hope that helps

  16. a little update took the fuel rails of and found number 4 inj wasnt seated correctly(seriosly out) anyway sorted that cleaned everythingup as i was going..anyway now it just wont turn over ill put a wee vid up off whats happening
  17. nope no alarm striped the plenum off again..start from the fuel rails up.. notice though that the fuel rail that came off the engine had an earth..on the one from the parts engine doesnt

  19. right check the ptu the conector them selfs are fine the wires goinv into the conectors are starting to show tiny bits of copper.. checked the fuel lines definetly fuel getting through and the relay and fuse are good just going out to check for spark
  20. would a faulty ptu not throw a code 21

  24. well i had to swap the cas unit and injectors/fuel rail because the connectors were the earlier units here's a video of it trying to start today.. poor quality but im trying to film while turning the key
  25. it was service on friday night before the engine went in..was running ok..idiling at 900-1k(a little high) it was down on power quite badly which would point to a collapsed cat but the not starting now after a got runs puzzling me.. batterys dead now on charge
