  2. just saying a little bye to all..bought a impreza the other day to replace the zed..so ill probable not be around..but just a thanks to anyone who's helped me with the zed with advice and hands on stuff so thanks you and i may get one again one day
  3. right hopfully gona be the owner of a tt by the weekend beginning of the week iv ownd a n/a for a coupkle of years now with issues that have been fixed biggest of all was a engine change. anyway owning a tt is another level for me and im not sure on the maininnce side to keep the engine good and well im not going for massivepower or anything a few upgrades at the most . my questions are is theyr anything to do to prevent turbo wear?..would a turbo timer be a good idea? is the water bypass a good idea on a dett engine..and is theyr anyother questions i should be asking :huh: also i must add this is gona be driven maybe 20 miles from mon-fri then maybe 100 miles tops at the weekend..
  4. really m8 your going from a zed to that...no offence but looks horrible compared to your zed id imagine your not going to keep it the way it is so think your gonaa buy that then spend a cuple grand getting it to where you want it or you could just spend that money on your zed n make it a mechanicly sound car..but if its cheaper to run n that then good luck to you..just my 2cents
  5. all the same m8 im sure alot of ppl would just put a splitter on just for looks n not think about the materials used or how they affect downforce let alone the handling charictistics once fitted

  7. also the splitter would ally be better than say fiberglass or that other thing grp whats lighter n reduces flex under high loads...sorry if this is a stupit question but id fit somthing like this for astetics rather than purpose

  10. just read through this thread what a job well done m8 the works phenominal..the only thing is the headlights arnt my cup of brew but its not mine so i can appresiat it.... i espessialy like the windows looking forward to the updates now as much as the new episodes of my fav show...keep it up n well done

  12. yea cant stop my affair with them was gona go for a skyline but the insurance is a killer and well theyr just not zeds.. the white ones sorted pulled a couple of favours n got the sills sorted just needs the new horns fitted then its mot ready then sell it n recover some money

  20. iv been readin recently n im REALLLY keeping an open mind but has anyone read the protocols of the learned zion..i have to emphisize im not on anyones side but what an intersting read if you get the actual minuts not the naration(think how thats spelld) its a good read
  21. yea definetly its anoutstandung achivement..like manon themoon its a mile stone..thefacktthat hes proved the human body can break mach1 thats on the same level as walking one the moon..i feel thoug that the achievment isnt being reconized as much..if it wasnasahat done it though it be a different story
  22. and i was of the understandin that terminal velocity was the maximum that any object could reach no mater the size or shape...like the question whats heavier a ton of bricks or a ton of whats ever..droped in earth atmosphere theyll accellarate at diffrent speed if you will but fall at the same rate one achieved the maximum rate of fall/resistance...terminal velocity..im probably wrong but thats how i was taught physics
  23. but surly once you enter the highter density atmospher it counter acts the resistance of the faling object..if you droped a perfect shere from the outer atmospher itll acelerate faster but it wont exede the gravitational pull of 9.89 give or take(im kinda drunk)..im not trying to disprove the felix guy did or didnt do it i just want to know the basic maths invovled in beeting graity
  24. maybe i should alter th question..how do you exede terminal velocity on a vertical plane without propultion?
  25. right i was pretty good at physics in school but we never coverd this..maybe somone can help in clas we were taught about terminal velocity i.e the constant velocity of a mass falling in earths gravitational pull..which i was shown was approx 126 mph.. so can somone explain how felix broke the sound barrier n not just by the mass of his testies:biggrin:
