You can only just see the screamer pipes but shows the external waste gates. Old photos as it now has pentroof type manifolds:

Which bit sorry? No either way like. The bovs are hidden in the front bumper. Screamers and waste gates are just next to the turbos

BOV Query
Mine has quite a few noises really. Has the BOV's, screamer pipes and external waste gates. So does anyone know the approx position for this screw? Don't wanna give it half a turn, drive it to check, half a turn and so on. Just a bit of a guide please

BOV Query
These are sequential ones too. It's just the getting the set up right with them I believe. Had them on for years but I rarely drive on boost to be honest

Which consult off ebay is correct?
I have the old blatz cable. Been working well for many years. I'm sure there was a write up in the past on how to make your own

BOV Query
So if its stalling due to that, is it that I'd need to loosen the screws or tighten them

BOV Query
The BOv's in question are Apexi Twin Chamber. Been thinking about my BOVs as I get stalling issues after being on Boost and dumping the clutch. Pretty sure it's cos of the BOV's. O was looking back through some really old posts and found people saying the adjustment screw show be at around 5 - 5mm. The first question I have is whether its 4mm out of the end of the BOV or 4mm out of the nut that goes on the end (which I don't have). Just wondering what ya's think. I have toyed with the idea of getting rid in the past but then decided to keep as I do like the sound lol.

Cost of Paint
So why do I not have to use a clear coat if using 2K? Is it just because it should look good anyway?

Cost of Paint
I'm looking to get some paint for my car. Where's best to get it? The car is black GL1. I've been told to get 2K paint and that I won't need a clear coat

What did you do to your zed today?
I finally straightened my number plate after all these years. Took ages to get the old plastic screws out cos they'd snapped the end off (hence the cockeyed number plate) and I could find a drill.

Car tax question
I think the problem will come when someone has had it uninsured, if the buyer then insures it on the day (happens all the time) it won't be on MID and so the tax system won't recognise it as being insured. Not sure if the tax system has changed at all mind - - - Updated - - - Groover, just what he said mate ^^^

Car tax question
On the who's name the V5 is in... The V5 is the registered keeper. That isn't necessarily the legal owner.

1998 n/a
Did we find out the date of build? Just that seems to have been in question thought the thread. Check on the seatbelts and as so said, maybe some pictures of the interior. I was once told by someone at the dvla that with imports, if they aren't given the date, they always put it as a specific date, can't remember if it was in 98 or not

Car tax question
Insurers are meant to update MID ASAP and have to about 97% accurate - I might be wrong on the percentage there. Ours usually updates MID over night but it can take up to 5 days. I'm guessing broker policies may take longer as they would need to update the policies with the insurer/underwriter who'd then toss it across to MID. In regards to the question, for a simple drive home, you'd beat the post so the DVLA wouldn't know that the car had been sold so camera's etc wouldn't show the car as untaxed. But if the car isn't showing insured on MID, for eg if the seller has already cancelled the cover on the car then there's the possibility of being pulled over and it might then come to light about the tax but I don't know if police officers would be the ones to enforce the rules on this. Lonezedder is wrong in regards to his insurance and the fact he said that if there was an accident he wouldn't be liable etc. If the new dude hasn't insured the car (which I understand he didn't from reading the above) then zonezedders insurer who were still insuring it have liabilities under the RTA to pay out on third party damages etc so although he's verbally told the buyer he won't accept any issues, the insurer wouldn't have a choice and a claim could have still been paid out regardless of lonezedders consent or agreement. Although its possibly the right thing to do morally, you leave yourself a little open in this scenario IMO
