  1. The legal company wont be able to claim against themselves. There's usually some form of exclusion in wordings for that kind of thing. Also they wouldn't need to be used for the excess whets the same company, but as he was parked up and the insurer has offered a settlement, I would believe that the liability is not in dispute on this case and as such I doubt that acraig has to actually pay the excess on this occasion.
  2. Did she fart like? Car looks nice. I guess the insurers would potentially be asking how the bump would cause the rust. What was it that hit you?
  3. You'll av to show us yours too :-)
  4. The 'formal complaint' the FOS will write to the company isn't a great massive thing. In short we would get a FOS Notification which gives a very brief outline and it says if you need more info to contact the customer. Just goin to the FOS doesn't mean the company will change their decision either. An FOS notification to us is just the same as a letter from a customer
  5. Lol. I've been looking back at this every few other day
  6. Did you ever get this finished mate?
  7. Correct. My company now charge £10 on most products we offer. One of the main principles of insurance is 'indemnity' which in short is putting you back in the position you were in prior to the incident (minus the excess - obviously you can often claim this back in non fault cases). So as an example, if it would cost £1k to fix a car but your excess was £400, then the insurer would only be liable for £600. If the car is written off, then you should really be able to buy another car of similar value to that which your car was worth. Obviously what a car is worth differs depending on its age and how good it was per-accident. The problem you're having is that your company doesn't feel it was in great shape prior to the incident.
  8. Pfft, not at that price and I don't like the changes that he made, hence my did Zelda get ugly thread. She was lovely back in the day. Winnoze - here is an old thread I'm referring too, I have a couple of the Zelda old pictures on it mate... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?153063-Did-zelda-get-ugly&highlight=Zelda
  9. Didn't read the meets bit sorry. Mate you could turn up in a rust old lads and I'm sure you'd be made to feel welcome at any meet. Good bunch on here so don't feel nervous or shy. You'd possibly even get some good ideas and some more friends to boot :-) - - - Updated - - - Yeah, Zelda was a very well known car mate. Was a black swb wide body one. Ill find the pictures to show ya
  10. Actually, hold on. Do you actually own the car known as Zelda or you bought a car and named it Zelda?
  11. How far away is jimmer from you? You should get some current pictures up. I'm sure I saw zeds for sale a while back with quite a pricy cash tag on her but the seller had made a few small changes which changed how she looked. She used to be a really nice looking car back in the day. I might have or be able to find some pictures somewhere
  12. Thanks mate, do you have any normal light pictures before? I guess the after pictures are straight on rather than at an angle as the before picture is. Also how much did you have it for sale for?
  13. I'd be quite interested in seeing the before and after pictures. As Steve burns suggested, i work in insurance, and in fact I now work I customer relations which if the ones who deal with the ombudsman (FOS). So, to go to the FOS you have to follow the companies internal complaints procedure first and the company have up to 8 weeks to provide you with its final decision (from the day you raised your complaint). If you go straight to the FOS, they take down brief details of the case and send a notification to the company giving the brief details. The company should then acknowledge the complaint within 5 working days and issue a final decision. If you then remain unhappy you can approach then aproach FOS for them to review the case (you should go to the FOS within 6 months of the companies final decision). An adjudicator (your FOS case handler) will then ask both you and the company for all of their evidence etc. the adjudicator will then make a decision on how he/she sees then case. If either party are unhappy with the adjudicators decision, they can request the case be reviewed by an actual ombudsman (although its rare they change the adjudicators decision but it does happen). Let me know if you need any help. I would suggest getting screenshots showing the time stamps the photos were taken (especially those taken 10 days before the incident). I guess The problem with rust it that it could have been underlying before the accident.
  14. I can't access them, are they in the mod area or something?
  15. Can't we get it back? Jaikai?
  16. Did you check your boot. Also might be worth checking whether all your lights and things are turned off
  17. Cool. I'm a bit bored of them. We ended up not watching them as much last year. Hope the hog roast is back. That was superb
  18. Is one of them the ones that's always there?
  19. The drifting is on the 19th and 20th July. And I believe there's a zed gonna be there
  20. I had a problem like that once and it was doing my head in... Then I realised that the boot lid looking closed but actually wasn't. Checked by just trying to lift it up and slammed it down and the alarm stopped kicking off. As for the lights and radio I'm not too sure. Some radios have a fuse stuck on the back of them though.
  21. S would they actually end up being any cheaper than getting the stuff direct? Or don't you know?
  22. Thanks bri, do you think it looks like a full gasket set mate?
  23. I'm after a full head gasket kit too if any of you know the best place to go for that
